I can see, we can be together

As one, as one
I can see, we should be together, oh, yeah
As one, in my life, as one, mm-hmm
I can see, we should be together
(Shining, shining)

Through the years we grew together
Life has brought us pain and pleasure
Trying together
Now that life is so much brighter
Let us take the next step higher
(Shining, shining on)

As one, together, as one
I can see, we should be together, oh, yeah
As one, forever, as one
Well, I can see, we should be together
(Shining, shining on)

We are gathered here together
Joining hands as one forever
Always together
Ring the bells so all can hear it
Tell the world, come join the Spirit
Shining, shining

As one, as one
As one, as one
Shining, shining on

As one, in my life, as one, mm-hmm
I can see, we should be always together
As one, oh, yeah, as one, mm-hmm, yeah
I can see, we should be together
(Shining, shining on)

Ring the bells so all can hear it
Tell the world, come join the Spirit
Always together
Here today and gone tomorrow
New horizons always follow
Shining, shining

As one, as one
I can see, we should be together, oh, yeah
As one, as one
Well, I can see, we should be together, yeah
(Shining, shining on)

As one, as one
I can see, we should be always together
As one, forever, as one
I can see, we should be together
(Shining, shining on...)

Kool & the Gang

Kool & the Gang is an American jazz, R&B, soul, funk, and disco group from Jersey City. They were originally named the Jazziacs when they formed the group in 1964.

They went through several musical phases during their recording career, starting out with a purist jazz sound, then funk and R&B, progressing to a smooth pop-funk ensemble, and in the post-millennium creating music with a modern, electro-pop sound.

The group was becoming prominent in the music industry in the 1970s with hits such as “Holly Wood Swinging”, “Jungle Boogie” and “Summer Madness”. However they cemented their legendary status after the addition of lead vocalist James “J.T.” Taylor. With his help they went on to create classic hits such as “Ladies Night”, “Celebration”, “Get Down On It”, “Cherish” and countless others.
