[Intro]
Yeah, okay

[Verse 1]
Uh, I'm the protector of the network
Invent the architecture, make the world around you better
The artificial intelligence to apply the pressure
The paranoia always keep 'em in line
If you speak the language, then you readin' my mind
The abstract has no reason to rhyme
Uh, no need to define, the rules are here to keep you alive
Oh Lord, I think I'm seein' the signs
So step aside, the evolution, death by execution
Fresh air with less pollution, let the Earth be Earth
They computin' the solutions, tryn' to find out how we do it
It's the fuckin' revolution, let the church be church, yeah
I'm fishin' from the moon, see how my dreams work
Give you what you want, but bet I'm takin' what I need first

[Refrain]
I never said I was an expert, but
You now connected to the network

[Verse 2]
Uh, I'm the protector of the network
Invent the architecture, so it's good for our successors
Live inside of a spaghetti western
I've been thinkin' I could hide in here forever
Yeah, they stimulate us with simulated creations
We built this nation on the basis of a fairy tale
I beg you, can you disconnect me from this fuckin' matrix?
The steak is tasteless and the air is stale
Fallin' for a hummingbird, wonder who discover her
I want to touch her, but the feelin' of it's much too pure, yeah
And the lamb belong to Mother Earth
Forget it for a second, the corrupted gonna turn us into customers
The garden started from the dirt, we need to quench the thirst
You want the answers? Better plan to have adventures first

[Refrain]
Shit, I never claimed to be a expert, but
You now connected to the network

[Verse 3]
Yeah, let me welcome ya to the network
We wage the war and technology surrendered
Remember, please embrace the spirit of your elders
I see myself as but a welder, keepin' it all together
Starin' at confusion
You nothin' but a boy, how do you dare to have delusions?
Shit, my mind's playin' tricks on my vision, see the picture changin'
Switch arrangement, watch the beauty turn to pixelation
There's nothin' pure as the birth of an idea
I know what I fear, I feel it's safe to die here, so
I close my eyes and raise my arms in triumph
If there's answers somewhere, then I got time to find 'em, yeah
I been hidin' inside of my dreams
Was born an angel, they tryin' to buy my wings

[Refrain]
I'm a king, not a expert
But you connected to the network

[Outro]
It's the network
A'ight

Mac Miller

Malcolm James McCormick (Jan. 19, 1992 – Sept. 7, 2018), who performed as Mac Miller, was an American rapper and producer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Since releasing his first mixtape at just 15 years old, he became one of the leaders of the new school of young and highly talented “weirdos.”

Mac’s credibility in the rap game increased ten-fold and resulted in a slew of quality releases, including 2012’s Macadelic mixtape, his second studio album Watching Movies With The Sound Off, and his critically-acclaimed 2014 mixtape Faces.

He had multiple alter-egos, most notably his producer alias Larry Fisherman and his sick and twisted pitched-up persona (à la Quasimoto,) Delusional Thomas.
