[Intro]
Ooh, this is a true story, yeah
This is a true story, yeah
This is a true story
This is a true story

[Verse 1]
A couple of days ago, I got a phone call
Saying "Are you Mr. Kelly?", and I said, "Who's this?"
Then he said, "It's Tameka's lawyer, and am calling on her behalf"
Then he said, "I've got some news
That I think you would wanna know"
And then he said, "She's pregnant" (*gasps*)
And then I sat down real slow, then said, "Who's this again?"
He took a breath and said, "You heard me the first time."
And then I said, "Wait a minute, mister
We talking 'bout the same girl and she's a stripper
You representing that girl, man she's a freak
And how does she know that the baby belongs to me"
Then, he asked me did I meet her two months ago? I said yeah
And then he asked was it at a club in Chicago? I said yeah
He said, "Well get ready to raise it
'Cause she says you're the only one she laid with", ohh

[Chorus]
There's a very good chance that it might be mine
(Oh I know I hit it)
There's a very good chance that it might be mine
(I should've used to protection, yeah)
There's a very good chance that it might be mine
('Bout to get my money, yeah)
There's a very good chance that it might be mine
(Man, I don't even like this girl)

[Verse 2]
I hung up and called my lawyers, and I told them the situation
And the first question out they mouth, was did I sleep with the girl
At first I hesitated this, then said yeah
And then went on to tell 'em I hit it raw
And then they said, "Well it might be a chance
That you may have to pay the cost", I said, "Good Lord"
And then I put the phone down and just thought about for a couple of seconds
They asked me had I seen her recently? I said nah
Then asked do you sleep with her frequently? I said nah
All I know is that I left the club with this lady
And now here I am this baby's maybe, ohhh

[Chorus]
There's a very good chance that it might be mine
(See I admit I hit it, yeah)
There's a very good chance that it might be mine
(Man, I knew I should've used some protection, yeah)
There's a very good chance that it might be mine
(She 'bout to get my money, yeah)
There's a very good chance that it might be mine
(Oh man, and I don't even like this girl)

[Bridge]
Man I can slap myself for getting involved with this lady (with this lady)
If I can turn the hands back, I would have went on home to my baby (somebody)
Now I'm all caught up yeah (caught up), all from a measly late night creep (hey)
One year later (hey), I get a picture
And I'll be damn this baby look just like me

[Chorus]
There's a very good chance that it might be mine (and it might be mine, yeah)
There's a very good chance that it might be mine (then it might be mine)
There's a very good chance that it might be mine (hey, said I'm almost sure about it, hey)
There's a very good chance that it might be mine
(Good chance, good chance, good chance)
(Listen, if it look like me, look like me
Walk like me, walk like me, talk like me, talk like me)
There's a very good chance that it might be mine
(Baby, go figure, ooouuu yeah)
There's a very good chance that it might be mine
(Well, I guess I'm gonna have to take the test)
There's a very good chance that it might be mine
(Said I'm on my way to take the test)
There's a very good chance that it might be mine
