There's a time for living, baby
There's a time to cry
There's a time for love
And a time to say goodbye

Like a thunderstorm
Breaking the desert's spell
We were a moment in Heaven
A season in Hell

Like the sun that burns
Everything to the ground;
We got too close
And summer is leaving us now

There's a time for living, baby
There's a time to cry
There's a time for love
And a time to say goodbye

There's a time for laughing, baby
There's a time to cry
There's a time for love
And a time to say goodbye

(instrumental solos)

Like the sun never burns
Everything to the ground
We got too close
And summer is leaving us now
(now!? ooh- ooh - ooh!)

There's a time for living, baby
There's a time to cry
There's a time for love
And a time to say goodbye

There's a time for laughing, baby
There's a time to cry
There's a time for love
And a time to say goodbye
And a time to say goodbye
There's a time to say goodbye

Shakespears Sister

Shakespear’s Sister is a pop-rock duo formed in 1988 by Siobhan Fahey, who left Bananarama after disagreements with the musical direction the band was going. The band was originally intended to be Fahey’s solo project, but immediately became a duo after she recruited American singer Marcella Detroit (aka Marcy Levy).
