They can spend their money
But it don't mean a thing without the honey
If you know what I mean
'Cause your kiss is like the taste of aged wine
And with the start of another day
You got me thinkin' your vintage is hard to find

Your love gets sweeter as the days go by
I’m tellin’ you, girl
Your love is sweet and I know it won't die
Your love gets sweeter as the days go by
As the days go by

There are pretty faces on TV
But compared to the way you look, girl
They don't mean a thing to me
Right here with you is whеre I wanna be
'Cause you'rе the only girl I've ever known
That I can call sugar free

Your love gets sweeter as the days go by
Oh, I'm tellin' you, girl
Your love is sweet and I know it won't die
Your love gets sweeter as the days go by
As the days go by, ooh...

So sweet, so sweet, so sweet
Shooby doo wop
As the days go by, ooh, uh
So sweet, so sweet, so sweet
So sweet
Shooby doo wop
Yeah as the days go by, ooh, girl, oh
So sweet, so sweet, so sweet
Shooby doo
Shooby doo wop
As the days, as the days
As the days go by
So sweet, so sweet, so sweet
Oh, shooby doo
Shooby doo wop

Baby, your love gets sweeter
As the days go by
I'm tellin' you, girl
Your love is sweet and I know it won't die
Your love gets sweeter as the days go by
As the days go by
(Your love gets sweeter)

So sweet, so sweet, so sweet
Make me wanna say
Shooby doo wop
Your love gets sweeter
I'm stickin' with you, oh
So sweet, so sweet, so sweet
Shooby dooby doo
Shooby doo wop
Your love gets sweeter
As the days go by, ooh...
So sweet, so sweet, so sweet
I said shooby doo
Shooby doo wop
Your love
Your love gets sweeter
Oh, baby
So sweet, so sweet, so sweet
I said shooby doo
Shooby doo wop
As the days go by...

Shalamar

Shalamar is an American R&B and soul music vocal group, active in the mid-1970s and throughout the 1980s. Their original lineup consisted of Jeffrey Daniel, Jody Watley, and Gary Mumford. The group went through various lineup changes throughout the years, with Mumford replaced by Gerald Brown, and again by Howard Hewett. The lineup of Daniel, Hewett, and Watley was the most successful, selling two Platinum albums (Three For Love, Friends) and one Gold album (Big Fun).

Despite more lineup changes in the ‘80s, the group still churned out hits such as “Dancing in the Sheets” and “Don’t Get Stopped in Beverly Hills”, which won them a Grammy.

Daniel, Hewett, and Watley eventually reunited several times in the ‘90s and as recently as 2015, playing in the UK where they’ve had the most success.
