[Verse 1]
Who am I to fall in love again?
Fall in so easy
Why am I so reckless with my heart?
Why? Oh no
Oh, but I just wanna love ya, I just wanna love ya
I just wanna love you, love you in spite of it, everything
I just wanna kiss ya, I just wanna hold ya
I just wanna touch you, need you inside of me

[Chorus]
Do you remember when we went to the park at night?
I told you how I felt, I'll never forget
I hope you know I meant, I hope you know I meant
Every word I said, every word I said to you, babe
I was made for you
Ooh, oh

[Verse 2]
Pickin' up the pieces of a mess
But I feel like myself again, ooh, oh
Think I saw forever in your eyes
Eyes
Know the situation's pretty complicated
I just wanna go back, if we could foster it, no
Hope you're not just playin' with my emotions
Or maybe I'm just stupid to still believe in it

[Chorus]
Do you remember when, made you those promises?
I'll never forget, I'll never forget
I hope you know I meant, I hope you know I meant
Every word I said, every word I said to you, babe

[Outro]
Ooh, oh, ooh, oh yeah
Ooh, oh, ooh, oh, ooh
And I hope you know I meant it
I know, I know
I, I
I know you know I know

Tinashe

Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe, known mononymously as Tinashe, is an American singer-songwriter, actress, dancer, and former model born in Lexington, Kentucky and raised in Los Angeles, California.

Born on February 6, 1993, her rise to fame began with her acting on shows such as Two and a Half Men. Initially making her debut in the music industry via the short-lived girl group The Stunners—which also featured Hayley Kiyoko—she garnered attention from online music blogs with her 2012 mixtape, In Case We Die. Signing with RCA Records shortly after, she released two further mixtapes later that year and in 2013: Reverie and Black Water respectively. “2 On” was released in January 2014 as the lead single from her debut album, Aquarius, and remains her biggest solo single to date. Released in October that year, the album was praised by critics for its merging of old-school R&B sounds and fresh 2010s trends. The follow-up was subjected to much-criticised although “Player” was billed as the collection’s lead single as early as October 2015, songs released from the project failed to reach the label’s expectations, resulting in the release of an album’s worth of outtakes from the album, Nightride, in November 2016. Joyride was finally released on April 13: it features the singles “No Drama”, “Faded Love” and “Me So Bad”.

On February 18, 2019, Tinashe parted ways with her longtime record label RCA. By November that year, she inked a new management deal with Roc Nation and self-released Songs for You, her fourth studio album.
