[Verse 1]
Loving you is stupid
'Cause I know that you never really loved me
And you never gave me sun, so I see
But you and me would never have a sip of love tea
And I feel so stupid after all the nights you left me lonely, to die
And you never gave me a reason why
And now I sit all alone and I cry
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh

[Verse 2]
Am I stupid? I should've known you were only playing the game
And you and me would never be the same
You made me feel like I'm the one to blame
And I feel so stupid
After all those nights after nights that I've tried
And all those conversations of lies
And I'm sitting here all alone and I'm crying
Oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
I'm crying oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh, oh

[Bridge]
Oh, can't believe you never knew I felt
All this love, baby, no one else
Could ever love me the way that you do
Oh baby, all I needed but you
Treated me so wrong and I can't believe it
How could you do me like you do?
'Cause I've been so stupid for you
Yeah yeah, yeah, ooh baby, yeah

[Outro]
Why do you do me like you do, baby?
You...
You baby, you darling, you...
Stupid baby, stupid darling, for you
I'm the one, baby, I'm the one left with all this shame
And I'm stupid, baby, stupid, darling, hey, yeah yeah
Stupid is as stupid does
I was stupid for you, baby, just because
Stupid is as stupid does
Ooh yeah yeah

Toni Braxton

Toni Braxton (born on October 7, 1967) is an American singer-songwriter, pianist, record producer, actress, and philanthropist, and has been active since 1989. She is best known for her single “Unbreak My Heart” and her second album Secrets. Braxton was discovered early by William E. Pettaway Jr., who helped her launch her career.

Braxton first started performing with her four sisters in a family band titled “The Braxtons” in the late 1980s, successfully attracting the attention of Antonio “L.A.” Reid and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, who were co-artists Braxton’s songs, including her signature song, Un-Break My Heart.

L.A. Reid and Babyface brought Braxton in as a substitution and had her record a demo of “Love Shoulda Brought You Home”. The song made it onto the soundtrack of the movie Boomerang, giving her early success and recognition. Braxton started recording her solo debut album at LaFace Records on July 13, 1993, quickly gaining popularity as it peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums Chart. Braxton’s debut album has won her several awards, including three Grammy Awards. Her debut album also won her two American Music Awards.
