[Verse 1]
You’re the only one who made it through the fire, burning fire
You’re the only one who walked the water and made it to the other side
You’re the one who took away the feeling of falling
Only one who see’s the sun
You know I'm calling
You’re the one who took me by the hand
Showed me how to fly

[Pre-Chorus]
And i feel so safe that i’m up in your arms
Nothing can touch when i’m right where you are
You busted through the doors
You came up through the floor
Just in the nick of time to save me

[Chorus]
Oh, my heart never had a hero
Oh, oh
Oh, my heart never had a hero
Oh, oh
When there was no one else
You saved me from myself
Almost gave up on myself
'Til you rescued me
Oh, my heart never had a hero
A hero, a hero
(Never had a hero, a hero)

[Verse 2]
Faster than the speed of light
You come around and kill my lonely (My lonely, oh)
Better then the average man
You beat the odds, you're so incredible

[Verse 3]
Oh, you are
Never met someone so strong
Never breaks down
Never thought that I belong until you came around
Nothing in this world is like the feeling
Like when you hold, hold me, hold me

[Pre-Chorus]
And i feel so safe that i’m up in your arms
Nothing can touch when i’m right where you are
You busted through the doors
You came up through the floor
Just in the nick of time to save me

[Chorus]
Oh, my heart never had a hero
Oh, oh
Oh, my heart never had a hero
Oh, oh
When there was no one else
You saved me from myself
Almost gave up on myself
'Til you rescued me
Oh, my heart never had a hero
A hero, a hero
(Never had a hero, a hero)

[Bridge]
A hero, my heart never had a hero
Oh, oh
My heart never had a hero
Oh, oh

[Chorus]
Just in the nick of time to save me
My heart never had a hero
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
My heart never had a hero
Never had, baby
Oh oh
When there was no one else
You saved me from myself
Almost gave up on myself
Til you rescued me
Ahhh, my heart heart never had a hero
A hero
A hero
A hero
A hero
A hero
A hero

Toni Braxton (born on October 7, 1967) is an American singer-songwriter, pianist, record producer, actress, and philanthropist, and has been active since 1989. She is best known for her single “Unbreak My Heart” and her second album Secrets. Braxton was discovered early by William E. Pettaway Jr., who helped her launch her career.

Braxton first started performing with her four sisters in a family band titled “The Braxtons” in the late 1980s, successfully attracting the attention of Antonio “L.A.” Reid and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, who were co-artists Braxton’s songs, including her signature song, Un-Break My Heart.

L.A. Reid and Babyface brought Braxton in as a substitution and had her record a demo of “Love Shoulda Brought You Home”. The song made it onto the soundtrack of the movie Boomerang, giving her early success and recognition. Braxton started recording her solo debut album at LaFace Records on July 13, 1993, quickly gaining popularity as it peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums Chart. Braxton’s debut album has won her several awards, including three Grammy Awards. Her debut album also won her two American Music Awards.
