[Verse 1]
They're sayin' that from the looks of it
That you and I probably won't make it
But when I hold your hand
I know that somewhere deep inside of us
The love is still there
They can say what they want to, but I'm not givin' up on love

[Chorus]
(That's why) I'm feelin' for a pulse
'Cause I can feel it's breathing
Feel a heart beating
Seems a little weakened
But I know that we can come back to life
Revive it, revive it, revive it
I'm feelin' for a pulse
'Cause I can feel it's breathing
Feel a heart beating
Seems a little weakened
But I know that we can come back to life
Revive it, revive it, revive it

[Verse 2]
They're shakin' their heads and sayin' that it's no use (It's no use)
That we've tried everything and there's nothing more that we could do, yeah
When I look in your eyes
That's when I know that within us lies
A ray of hope
So they can say what they want to
But I'm not givin' up on love

[Chorus]
(So that's why) I'm feelin' for a pulse
'Cause I can feel it's breathing
Feel a heart is beating
Seems a little weakened
But I know that we can come back to life (Oh, come back to life)
Revive it, revive it, revive it
I'm feelin' for a pulse (Baby)
'Cause I can feel it's breathing
Feel a heart is beating
Seems a little weakened
But I know that we can come back to life
Revive it, revive it, revive it (Whoa)

[Bridge]
There's a lot of pain
We can do it, babe
Even though we lost a lot of love along the way
Don't care what they say
It's not over, babe
I'ma do, oh, whatever it takes
And I'll never give up

[Chorus]
(So that's why) I'm feelin' for a pulse
'Cause I can feel it's breathing
Feel a heart beating
Seems a little weakened
But I know that we can come back to life (Ooh)
Come back to life
I'm feelin' for a pulse (Oh, I feel a pulse, ooh)
'Cause I can feel it's breathing (So crazy)
Feel a heart beating (Baby)
Seems a little weakened (Ooh, a little bit weak)
But I know that we can come back to life (Ooh, just a little tired)
Revive it, revive it, revive it (Oh-oh)

[Outro]
Oh-yeah
Oh, oh-oh-ooh
Oh (Revive it, revive it, revive it, revive it, revive it, revive it)

Toni Braxton

Toni Braxton (born on October 7, 1967) is an American singer-songwriter, pianist, record producer, actress, and philanthropist, and has been active since 1989. She is best known for her single “Unbreak My Heart” and her second album Secrets. Braxton was discovered early by William E. Pettaway Jr., who helped her launch her career.

Braxton first started performing with her four sisters in a family band titled “The Braxtons” in the late 1980s, successfully attracting the attention of Antonio “L.A.” Reid and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, who were co-artists Braxton’s songs, including her signature song, Un-Break My Heart.

L.A. Reid and Babyface brought Braxton in as a substitution and had her record a demo of “Love Shoulda Brought You Home”. The song made it onto the soundtrack of the movie Boomerang, giving her early success and recognition. Braxton started recording her solo debut album at LaFace Records on July 13, 1993, quickly gaining popularity as it peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums Chart. Braxton’s debut album has won her several awards, including three Grammy Awards. Her debut album also won her two American Music Awards.
