[Verse 1]
You've been hurting a long time
The kind of pain I know too well
It's been pulling you under
Like some kind of evil spell
I'm gonna hold, I'm gonna hold you
Till the ghosts are disappeared
I'm not going anywhere, I'm gonna stay right here

[Chorus]
If I have to wait for you, I'll hang on the line
If I had to just make due, I'll do it 'til the end of time
If I have to feel this way, to know that you will be mine, all mine
That's the choice I make
That's the risk I'll take
If I have to wait, for you

[Verse 2]
Your tears are my tears
And I'm crying them too
'Cause I can't, No I can't
I just can't find a way to get through to you
I know you really love me, but there is a part of you still missing
You've given me all that you can, but I want everything, everything, everything

[Chorus]
If I have to wait for you, I'll hang on the line
If I had to just make due, I'll do it 'til the end of time
If I have to feel this way, to know that you will be mine, all mine
That's the choice I make
That's the risk I'll take
If I have to wait, for you

I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait
I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait
I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait

If I have to wait for you, I will hold on the line
If I have to just make due, I'll do it, I'll do it, I'll do it, I'll do it baby

[Chorus]
If I have to wait for you, I'll hang on the line
If I had to just make due, I'll do it 'til the end of time
If I have to feel this way, to know that you will be mine, all mine
That's the choice I make
That's the risk I'll take
If I have to wait, for you

Toni Braxton (born on October 7, 1967) is an American singer-songwriter, pianist, record producer, actress, and philanthropist, and has been active since 1989. She is best known for her single “Unbreak My Heart” and her second album Secrets. Braxton was discovered early by William E. Pettaway Jr., who helped her launch her career.

Braxton first started performing with her four sisters in a family band titled “The Braxtons” in the late 1980s, successfully attracting the attention of Antonio “L.A.” Reid and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, who were co-artists Braxton’s songs, including her signature song, Un-Break My Heart.

L.A. Reid and Babyface brought Braxton in as a substitution and had her record a demo of “Love Shoulda Brought You Home”. The song made it onto the soundtrack of the movie Boomerang, giving her early success and recognition. Braxton started recording her solo debut album at LaFace Records on July 13, 1993, quickly gaining popularity as it peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums Chart. Braxton’s debut album has won her several awards, including three Grammy Awards. Her debut album also won her two American Music Awards.
