[Verse 1]
I can change your life in a single night
I can make you hungry, get an appetite
I could tell a story that would make you cry
But nobody ever seems to bat an eye

[Pre-Chorus]
'Cause this town's too small for a girl like me
(For a girl like me, for a girl like me)
It feels like I'm a walking tragedy
(Walking tragedy, walking tragedy)

[Chorus]
But do you ever wonder about the kid wonder?
If only you knew it was me
I'm the kid wonder
And do you ever wonder about the kid wonder?
If only you knew it was me
I'm the kid wonder

[Verse 2]
I give you a ticket to the midnight show
We can hit the road and we can go, go, go
Turn our faces in and you can kiss me slow
I can turn around and say I told you so

[Pre-Chorus]
'Cause this town's too small for a girl like me
(For a girl like me, for a girl like me)
It feels like I'm a walking tragedy
(Walking tragedy, walking tragedy)

[Chorus]
But do you ever wonder about the kid wonder?
If only you knew it was me
I'm the kid wonder
And do you ever wonder about the kid wonder?
If only you knew it was me
I'm the kid wonder

[Outro]
I'm the kid wonder
I'm the kid wonder
I'm the kid wonder
I'm the kid wonder

Allie X

Alexandra Ashley Hughes, better known by her stage name Allie X, is a Canadian singer-songwriter.

Allie first started her career under the stage name Allie Hughes in Toronto around 2006, performing indie pop, indie rock, jazz and electronic influenced music. She released her album, Waiting for the Prize the same year. She then proceeded two further releases, including another album Ladies and Gentlemen in 2009 and an extended play titled Allie Hughes in 2010. All of the aforementioned releases were released independently and sold mainly at live shows.

In 2011-2012, Allie started performing under the stage name ALX. Under this name, the single “I Will Love You More” was released in March of 2012. Despite ALX only having only one official song release, numerous unreleased original songs from this era were performed live during 2012 shows such as “Chad Redux”, “Homebound” and “Phantom”. The ALX project eventually came to an end in late 2012. In July 2013, Allie decided to leave Canada and move to Los Angeles to pursue a full-time career as a singer-songwriter, signing a publishing deal. During 2013 she spent time learning about sound design and production and worked with numerous songwriters and producers including Billboard and Cirkut, who she met that year.
