[Verse 1]
I am a light sleeper
But I am a heavy dreamer
My imagination gives me wings
And I can go anywhere

[Pre-Chorus]
And when I wander away
To some other place
I'm suddenly there
Way up in the air
Where passenger trains
Catch fire and fill the sky with flames
And that black rabbit of death
Wakes up in a breath
Of beautiful dreams
My heartache, it seems
So terribly vain
Where fire and diamonds fall like rain

[Chorus]
Do you believe
In endless miracles?
Do you believe
In the impossible?
Do you believe
Sleep is a time machine?
Do you believe
In curiosity?
Do you believe
In what you cannot see?
Do you believe
Life is a lucid dream?

[Post-Chorus]
That’s how you study the stars
That’s how you study the stars
And that’s how you know them by heart
Life is a lucid dream

[Verse 2]
Such is the path of a dreamer
I find my way by moonlight
My imagination gives me wings
And I can go anywhere

[Pre-Chorus]
And when I wander away
To some other place
I'm suddenly there
Way up in the air
Where passenger trains
Catch fire and fill the sky with flames
And that black rabbit of death
Wakes up in a breath
Of beautiful dreams
My heartache, it seems
So terribly vain
Where fire and diamonds fall like rain

[Chorus]
Do you believe
In endless miracles?
Do you believe
In the impossible?
Do you believe
Sleep is a time machine?
Do you believe
In curiosity?
Do you believe
In what you cannot see?
Do you believe
Life is a lucid dream?

[Post-Chorus]
Well, that’s how you study the stars
That’s how you study the stars
And that’s how you know them by heart
Life is a lucid dream
Well, that’s how you study the stars
That’s how you study the stars
And that’s how you know them by heart
Life is a lucid dream

[Outro]
I am a light sleeper
But I am a heavy dreamer

Owl City

Originally making songs in his basement for his friends as Sky Sailing, Adam Young then discovered synth music and became Owl City, releasing two relatively unpopular albums Maybe I’m Dreaming and Of June before making his hit single “Fireflies” which made his third album as Owl City, Ocean Eyes a hit.

After this worldwide success he put on two more albums, All Things Bright and Beautiful in 2011, and The Midsummer Station in 2012. In 2014 he released an EP, Ultraviolet, composed of 4 songs whom one would appear on his following album, Mobile Orchestra. Retiring from Owl City in 2016 to focus on Adam Young Scores, a new project made of orchestral soundtracks about historic events, he reappeared in 2017 to tease his upcoming new album Cinematic, with the release of a series of three EPs, called Reel 1 , 2 and 3.
