Boy!

[Verse 1: 2Pac & Ace Rocker]
That's my man throwing down
With rhymes that are so dope
Sucka MC shiver (Punks!)
They can't cope with these two MCs
That proceed to rock you
Ace, they wanna battle, man they can't stop you
Word, that's what I said, and it's a proven fact
That these suckas couldn't stop me with a baseball bat
And if I give them a bomb, that was nuclear-armed
They could shoot it at my posse, and we wouldn't get harmed
When I first wrote it down, ask "Ace how it sounds?"
Just shook and said slowly and said

[Chorus: 2Pac & Ace Rocker]
That's my man throwing down
That's my man throwing down
That's my man throwing down

[Verse 2: 2Pac & Ace Rocker]
Who rocks from my side [?] streets
So we feed dope rhymes they'd buy
No one ever—
(Times gettin' crazy)
Joined the Born Busy posse (Suckas)
Taken us, and you'll get token out
On a stretcher with your microphone shoved in your mouth
Thinking back MC New York, do you remember that clown?
Who try to dissin' you, you got pissed and said—

[Chorus: 2Pac & Ace Rocker]
That's my man throwing down
That's my man throwing down
That's my man throwing down

[Verse 3: 2Pac & Ace Rocker]
Don't mean to brag, but it's like that
If there's a problem, we fight the battles back to back
If there's a challenge from a crew or a posse
No need to worry, I know Ace has got me
And that's my man, I repeat it 'cause I mean it
He holds it inside sometimes
I wanna scream it out loud to every crowd
I say it proud everywhere
Don't need a gun, my knowledge is right here
And that's my man
If things get out of a hand, we stick together
Through thick and thin, that's the plan
Yo Ace, let's shake the bass
So we place in this town
If you don't know, here we go

[Chorus: 2Pac & Ace Rocker]
That's my man throwing down
That's my man throwing down
That's my man throwing down

[Verse 4: 2Pac & Ace Rocker]
[?] when I say, you know I'm a playa
So those suckas won't doubt it
That that's my man
Take that to the bank
'Cause I put money down the jeweller
Admit that he holds rank with
Whenever static get raw, I don't freeze but getting thawed
'Cause since New York is around
I don't have to look far, I keep the odds even
And just in case it gets out of hand
He say "What's up", I say "What's up"
And that's my man
He like a barricade, no renegade can get through him
And for me, I guarantee that he'll go out on a limb
And since our posse was found today
I can say now we stand tall, never fall
'Cause—

[Outro/Chorus: 2Pac & Ace Rocker]
That's my man throwing down
Yeah!
That's my man throwing down
Better believe it, boy
That's my man throwing down
That's right
Ayy yo, Ace
That's my man throwing down

2Pac

Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996), known by his stage names 2Pac and Makaveli, was an actor and a highly influential rapper who is considered by many to be the greatest of all-time due to the revolutionary spirit and thug passion he mixed into his music. During his music career, he made appearances in movies such as his acclaimed debut in Juice (1992), Poetic Justice (1993), and Above the Rim (1994).

Born in Harlem, New York City to Black Panther Party members Billy Garland and Afeni Shakur, Tupac would later move to Baltimore before settling in the Bay Area cities of Oakland and Marin City in the late 1980s. There, he joined his first rap group Strictly Dope with Ray Luv before connecting with Shock G and Digital Underground. He was a roadie and backup dancer for the group before his breakthrough performance on their 1991 song “Same Song.”

2Pac released his debut album 2Pacalypse Now in 1991, which featured intense storytelling on singles such as “Trapped” and “Brenda’s Got a Baby.” His sophomore album Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z featured one of his signature songs, the Digital Underground-assisted “I Get Around.” After working on the Thug Life group album in 1994, 2Pac released Me Against the World the following year, which is considered by many to be his best album, peaking at #1 on the Billboard 200 and receiving a Grammy nomination—all while he sat in prison.
