[Verse 1]
So, my good friend
I see the super drug ends
[?] high up in the stratosphere
Brain fry Day-Glo
Holy water for my soul
Yes, you'll wake up in the U.S.A

[Chorus]
You know we gonna ride on the blue highway
I got to walk with electro glide on the blue highway
And I wave below to Christ on my highway
Yes, I almost died on the blue highway

[Verse 2]
Here's the Son from Mars
On a stolen guitar
He's out to rock your night, oow
Soul sister, soul hitter
I see you and [?]
Co-starring in the U.S.A

[Chorus]
You know we gonna ride on the blue highway
I got to walk with electro glide on the blue highway
And I wave below to Christ on my highway
Yes, I almost died -- on the blue highway

[Bridge]
Why did I miss you?
Why did I kiss you?

[Chorus]
You know we gonna ride on the blue highway
I got to walk with electro glide on the blue highway
And I wave below to Christ on my highway
Yes, I almost died
So glad that you’re living now
I’m glad that I'm here
And I’m glad that I want to stay, because
You know we gonna ride on the blue highway (ow)
I got to walk with electro glide on the blue highway, hey hey
And I wave below to Christ on my highway
Yes, I almost died on a blue highway, hey hey

[Outro]
Check me now, singing
Quaaludes and red wine for love
This is the time, a time for us
Can you hit[?] me, am I on the blue highway, hey hey

Billy Idol

Billy Idol is an English rock musician, songwriter and actor. Born in Stanmore, Middlesex, Idol first achieved fame in the punk rock era as a member of the band Generation X. Unlike other British punk rock artists of his era, Idol was inspired by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

A series of music videos for songs such as “Dancing With Myself”, “White Wedding”, “Rebel Yell” and “Eyes Without a Face” made him one of the first MTV stars. Idol continues to tour with guitarist Steve Stevens.

Idol’s 1987 release, “Mony Mony” reached #1 on the US top 40 charts; his songs to chart in the top 10 include: White Wedding, Eyes Without a Face, To Be a Lover and Cradle of Love.
