[Verse 1: Billy Idol]
I'm so out of hope
One more bad break
And I might fall
When I'm far from home
Don't call me on the phone
To tell me you're alone
You see, it's easy to deceive
Easy to tease
But hard to get release

[Chorus: Billy Idol & Stella Soleil]
(Les yeux sans visage)
Eyes without a face
(Les yeux sans visage)
Eyes without a face
(Les yeux sans visage)
Eyes without a face
They got no human grace
They're eyes without a face

[Verse 2: Billy Idol]
I spend all my time
Believing all the lies
To keep my dreams alive
Yes, it makes me sad
It'd make you mad at truth
For loving what was you

[Chorus: Billy Idol & Stella Soleil]
(Les yeux sans visage)
Eyes without a face
(Les yeux sans visage)
Eyes without a face
(Les yeux sans visage)
Eyes without a face
They got no human grace
Your eyes without a face

[Bridge: Billy Idol]
When you hear the music, you make a dip
Into someone else's pocket and then make a slip
You steal a car and go to Las Vegas
Ooh, the gigolo pool
Hanging out by the state line
Turning holy water into wine
Then you drink it down
Yow! I'm on a bus on a psychedelic trip
I'm reading murder books, trying to stay hip
And I'm, I think of you and you're out there, so
Say your prayers

[Verse 3: Billy Idol]
Now I close my eyes
Yes, I wonder why
I don't despise
Now all I can do
Is love what was once
So alive and new
When it's gone from your eyes
I'd better realise

[Chorus: Billy Idol & Stella Soleil]
(Les yeux sans visage)
Eyes without a face
(Les yeux sans visage)
Eyes without a face
(Les yeux sans visage)
Eyes without a face
They got no human grace
They're eyes without a face
Just some human waste
They're eyes without a face

Yow yow ow!

Billy Idol

Billy Idol is an English rock musician, songwriter and actor. Born in Stanmore, Middlesex, Idol first achieved fame in the punk rock era as a member of the band Generation X. Unlike other British punk rock artists of his era, Idol was inspired by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

Idol then embarked on a successful solo career, and was a member of the MTV-driven “Second British Invasion” of the United States. A series of music videos for songs such as “Dancing With Myself”, “White Wedding”, “Rebel Yell” and “Eyes Without a Face” made him one of the first MTV stars. Idol continues to tour with guitarist Steve Stevens.

Idol’s 1987 release, “Mony Mony” reached #1 on the US top 40 charts; his songs to chart in the top 10 include: White Wedding, Eyes Without a Face, To Be a Lover and Cradle of Love.
