Once before, we had a love
A love that no one else could ever have
And now it's a thing of the past
You and I, we had a love
Now you say that you
Don't want to be with me
And you say that you wanna be free

CHORUS:
Been through those bad times
Now I'm over you, no more cloudy days
Wipe those tears away
Been through those bad times
But I'm over you, no more cloudy days
Wipe those tears away

I tried so hard to
Wipe those tears away (tears away)
Thinking about you
Every day (every every every day)

And it blows my mind to know
That you're not here (drip drop drip drop)
Oh but I'm here to let the world know
That I'm over you, my baby

CHORUS

BRIDGE:
The coldest day was the day when
You walked right out my life
But I knew that the Lord would make it right
And I know that I wasn't prepared to say goodbye
But I survived, cause I'm, I'm over you

VAMP:
No cloudy days, no more cloudy days
No cloudy days, no more cloudy days
Wipe those tears away

CeCe Peniston

CeCe Peniston is an R&B and dance singer/songwriter known for her international ‘90s pop hit “Finally.” The Phoenix, Arizona native got her start doing demos and background vocals for rapper Overweight Pooch. Though she didn’t have a lot of time to work on her debut album Finally, it still yielded multiple hit singles like “Keep On Walkin,” “We Got a Love Thang,” and the sentimental soul ballad “Inside That I Cried” that landed in the Top 20 Billboard charts in Pop, Dance and/or R&B categories.

For her 1994 follow-up, Thought Ya Knew, CeCe forged into more R&B territory with the Soulshock & Karlin-produced lead single “I’m In The Mood”. The album also yielded the hit singles “I’m Not Over You” and “Hit By Love”.

Label shake-ups affected the success of her third album I’m Movin' On, but the singles “Movin' On” and her remake of Jocelyn Brown’s dance classic “Somebody Else’s Guy” still made impact on both sides of the Atlantic.
