I can't get off my high horse
And I can't let you go
You are the one who
You are the one who makes me feel
So real, yeah
What am I supposed to do, baby?
What am I supposed to do, baby?
When I'm so hooked up on you
Then I realize, oh I realize
That you are somebody else's guy?

Do you remember the times we shared together
Sharing our days in the sun
Then I found out that you were somebody else's lover
After all the plays we made, now I'm shattered 'cause...

CHORUS:
I can't get off my high horse and I can't let go
You are the one who makes me feel so real
Oooh, what am I supposed to do when I'm hooked on you
Then I realize that you're somebody else's guy?

That day in September I knew you would remember
That's when all the stuff hit the fan
You told me a lie, and you didn't have an alibi
But baby yeah I still care

Oh I felt sorry that I can't let you go, no, no
You are the one who makes me feel so real
Oooh what am I supposed to do when I'm hooked on you
Then I realize that you're somebody else's guy

I didn't realize you were on my mind
Oh, you're on my mind
Hey I felt sorry that I can't let you go, no, no
You are the one who makes me feel so real
Oooh what am I supposed to do when I'm hooked on you
Then I realize that you're somebody else's
Somebody else's, somebody else's guy

Yes you are
You are the one who makes me feel so real
You were wrong all along
The things that you did to me
I didn't realize that you were on mind
I just can't let you go
You made me strong
You were wrong all along
Somebody else's, somebody else's
Somebody else's guy
You were on my mind
Oh you make me feel oh so real, oh so real

CeCe Peniston

CeCe Peniston is an R&B and dance singer/songwriter known for her international ‘90s pop hit “Finally.” The Phoenix, Arizona native got her start doing demos and background vocals for rapper Overweight Pooch. Though she didn’t have a lot of time to work on her debut album Finally, it still yielded multiple hit singles like “Keep On Walkin,” “We Got a Love Thang,” and the sentimental soul ballad “Inside That I Cried” that landed in the Top 20 Billboard charts in Pop, Dance and/or R&B categories.

For her 1994 follow-up, Thought Ya Knew, CeCe forged into more R&B territory with the Soulshock & Karlin-produced lead single “I’m In The Mood”. The album also yielded the hit singles “I’m Not Over You” and “Hit By Love”.

Label shake-ups affected the success of her third album I’m Movin' On, but the singles “Movin' On” and her remake of Jocelyn Brown’s dance classic “Somebody Else’s Guy” still made impact on both sides of the Atlantic.
