[Verse 1]
Blood is pouring
Sleep is boring
Don't stop running
I'm here counting

The life, the hurt the pain, the hate
The life, the hurt the pain, the hate
The life, the hurt the pain, the hate
Will he keep fucking with me?
There's nowhere else to go

[Pre-Chorus]
So I walk, but seem to crawl
For I've given in today
Now I run into a wall
'Cause I cannot find my way

[Chorus]
(Ahh) You've gotta come with me
(I cannot stand this place)
(Ahh) We're falling off the world
(And I'll give in this way)
(Ahh) We had a chance to run
(And now I can't believe)
(Ahh) We're going all the way
(And all the affairs embrace)

[Verse 2]
My life: worry
Life is story
Give up beating
I'll start needing

The life, the hurt the pain, the hate
The life, the hurt the pain, the hate
The life, the hurt the pain, the hate
Will he keep fucking with me?
There's nowhere else to go

[Pre-Chorus]
So I walk, but seem to crawl
For I've given in today
Now I run into a wall
'Cause I cannot find my way

[Chorus]
(Ahh) You've gotta come with me
(I cannot stand this place)
(Ahh) We're falling off the world
(And I'll give in this way)
(Ahh) We had a chance to run
(And now I can't believe)
(Ahh) We're going all the way
(And all the affairs embrace)

[Refrain]
Embrace, embrace, embrace, embrace
Embrace, embrace, embrace, embrace
Oh (aah)
Oh, oh, oh, oh (aah)
Oh, oh, oh, oh (aah)
Oh, oh, oh, oh (aah)
Oh, oh, oh, oh

[Bridge]
What really do I have to follow?
Nothing makes sense at all
Taking something for nothing
Watch me as I fall

I'm bringing me down
I'm bringing me down
I'm bringing me down
I'm bringing me down

[Chorus]
(Ahh) You've gotta come with me
(I cannot stand this place)
(Ahh) We're falling off the world
(And I'll give in this way)
(Ahh) We had a chance to run
(And now I can't believe)
(Ahh) We're going all the way
(And all the affairs embrace)

(Ahh) You've gotta come with me
(I cannot stand this place)
(Ahh) We're falling off the world
(And I'll give in this way)
(Ahh) We had a chance to run
(And now I can't believe)
(Ahh) We're going all the way
(And all the affairs embrace)

Bakersfield friends James “Munky” Shaffer, Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu and David Silveria formed the funk-rock band LAPD in 1989 and moved to Los Angeles with another friend Brian “Head” Welch as their roadie. Later, with Welch as second guitarist, the band named themselves Creep and recorded a demo with pal Ross Robinson.

However, when Shaffer and Welch visited family in Bakersfield, they met Jonathan Davis who added a darker, goth-tinged edge to the band’s heavy groove. Robinson

The band wasn’t dark yet; it had, like, killer grooves and good riffs, but there was some happy edge to it. And when (Davis) walked into the room, it went dark and goth. Basically, during the first song, to audition in the rehearsal room, he started freaking the hell out [laughs]. You couldn’t hear his voice, but you felt chills all over your body, and it was instantly like, “Oh my God, yeah – he’s the one.”
