[Intro]
Go play

[Verse 1]
Your life is a matinée
In a galaxy far, far away
And your debut it's a sold out show, yeah
It's a blockbuster movie and you play the lead role

[Refrain]
And right out of the opening scenes
The whole crowd's on the edge of their seats
Your worst critics are sitting up front
And they're giving you two thumbs way, way up
You'll be in a league of your own
You'll be stealing their hearts, taking Oscars home

[Pre-Chorus]
So go get 'em and give it some passion!
Quiet on the set!
Lights, camera, action!

[Chorus]
With all your heart and soul
Dream big and you can feel the magic
Let the camera roll
Woah, your charm is automatic
Make your cameo
Be yourself
And don't be so dramatic
Go and steal the show
Woah, 'cause life is cinematic
Go and steal the show
Woah, 'cause life is cinematic

[Verse 2]
Go play
Plot twist, it’s a trilogy
'Cause your life is a thriller
We're dying to see
Your debut, it's a sold out show, yeah
It's an epic adventure
And you play the hero

[Refrain]
And right out of the opening scenes
The whole crowd's on the edge of their seats
Your worst critics are sitting up front
And they're giving you two thumbs way, way up
You'll be in a league of your own
You'll be stealing their hearts, taking Oscars home

[Pre-Chorus]
So go get 'em and give it some passion
Quiet on the set
Lights, camera, action!

[Chorus]
With all your heart and soul
Dream big, and you can feel the magic
Let the camera roll
Woah, your charm is automatic
Make your cameo
Be yourself, and don't be so dramatic
Go and steal the show
Woah, 'cause life is cinematic

[Post-Chorus]
Get a top hat and a rabbit
Win the crowd and make your magic

[Bridge]
Turn the lights down low
(And your dreams will come true)
(May the force be with you)
Knock 'em dead

[Chorus]
Go and steal the show
Woah, cause life is cinematic

[Outro]
Go play
'Cause your life is a movie
Go play
Follow your dreams, 'cause your life is a movie
Go play
Go get 'em and give it your all
Follow your dreams, 'cause life is cinematic

Owl City

Originally making songs in his basement for his friends as Sky Sailing, Adam Young then discovered synth music and became Owl City, releasing two relatively unpopular albums Maybe I’m Dreaming and Of June before making his hit single “Fireflies” which made his third album as Owl City, Ocean Eyes a hit.

After this worldwide success he put on two more albums, All Things Bright and Beautiful in 2011, and The Midsummer Station in 2012. In 2014 he released an EP, Ultraviolet, composed of 4 songs whom one would appear on his following album, Mobile Orchestra. Retiring from Owl City in 2016 to focus on Adam Young Scores, a new project made of orchestral soundtracks about historic events, he reappeared in 2017 to tease his upcoming new album Cinematic, with the release of a series of three EPs, called Reel 1 , 2 and 3.
