I love to watch you sleep
In the quiet of the night
I start to feel that you're part of me
The strength and the light
And I relive all the moments
Now the moon has chased the sun
And I memorize each moment of my precious little one
My precious little one

I love to watch you sleep
And seeing you just be
I feel I'm part of something so much greater than just me
And I thought that I was living, but my life had just begun
Now I understand the greater plan
My precious little one
My precious little one

My precious little one

I love to watch you sleep
When the night is still aglow
I think of my own father watching me those years ago
And I know that I am part of him
The rain and the sun
And I see there's part of both of us in my precious little one

But your own heart beats inside your chest
You'll go on and find the one
And someday you'll be watching your own precious little one

My precious little one
