[Intro]
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Ooh, mmm

[Verse 1]
I said, calling me, calling me baby
And you've been blowing my phone up all night
Didn't even notice, wish that I could call back one last time
Let me block ya, I gotta be focused
Let me quietly walk out of your life
Can't keep holding on now
Thinkin' 'bout just one more night

[Pre-Chorus]
And now I'm folding
You know it's hard on me
I don't wanna play no more
Waiting all night for you to hold me
Can we just let this be?
Making it hard to leave
Every time I try

[Chorus]
I won't be lonely
Please just let me down slowly
My heart turns colder
Just can't wait to get ovеr

[Post-Chorus]
Ooh, oh
Ooh

[Verse 2]
I've been chilling and living life lately
Gеtting use to my hitting up your life
Got me so emotional
Looking for a rebound, one more vice
Taking shots till I can't even focus
And I know that I really should not drive
But I'm looking for your address
Wonder if you're home tonight

[Pre-Chorus]
And now I'm folding
You know it's hard on me
I don't wanna play no more
Waiting all night for you to hold me
Can we just let this be?
Making it hard to leave
Every time I try

[Chorus]
I won't be lonely
Please just let me down slowly
My heart turns colder
Just can't wait to get over

Tinashe

Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe, known mononymously as Tinashe, is an American singer-songwriter, actress, dancer, and former model born in Lexington, Kentucky and raised in Los Angeles, California.

Born on February 6, 1993, her rise to fame began with her acting on shows such as Two and a Half Men. Initially making her debut in the music industry via the short-lived girl group The Stunners—which also featured Hayley Kiyoko—she garnered attention from online music blogs with her 2012 mixtape, In Case We Die. Signing with RCA Records shortly after, she released two further mixtapes later that year and in 2013: Reverie and Black Water respectively. “2 On” was released in January 2014 as the lead single from her debut album, Aquarius, and remains her biggest solo single to date. Released in October that year, the album was praised by critics for its merging of old-school R&B sounds and fresh 2010s trends. The follow-up was subjected to much-criticised although “Player” was billed as the collection’s lead single as early as October 2015, songs released from the project failed to reach the label’s expectations, resulting in the release of an album’s worth of outtakes from the album, Nightride, in November 2016. Joyride was finally released on April 13: it features the singles “No Drama”, “Faded Love” and “Me So Bad”.

On February 18, 2019, Tinashe parted ways with her longtime record label RCA. By November that year, she inked a new management deal with Roc Nation and self-released Songs for You, her fourth studio album.
