[Verse]
I'm not okay
With the distance that's been growin'
Girl, I'm not okay
I love you, never show it
And I'm not afraid
Of the future, what it's holdin'
Girl, I'm not afraid
Let me shut my eyes, I'm zonin'

[Pre-Chorus]
Turn the radio down and lay you down too
I could be the one for you
Turn the radio down and lay you down too
I could be the one for you

[Chorus]
I know we're not in love
Love is vivid
No we're not in love
You fall right in it for a week, a month, or maybe just a minute or a lifetime
What's the difference?
Big bang or collision, love is blind

[Post-Chorus]
We had a vision though
Now we dead roses
We had a vision though
Now we dead roses

[Verse]
I'm not okay
With the distance that's been growin'
Girl, I'm not okay
I love you, never show it
And I'm not afraid
Of the future, what it's holdin'
Girl, I'm not afraid
Let me shut my eyes, I'm zonin'

[Pre-Chorus]
Turn the radio down and lay you down too
I could be the one for you
Turn the radio down and lay you down too
I could be the one for you

[Chorus]
I know we're not in love
Love is vivid
No we're not in love
You fall right in it for a week, a month, or maybe just a minute or a lifetime
What's the difference?
Big bang or collision, love is blind

[Post-Chorus]
We had a vision though
Now we dead roses
We had a vision though
Now we dead roses

[Bridge]
I'm not okay
With the distance that's been growin'
Girl, I'm not okay
I love you, never show it
And I'm not afraid
Of the future, what it's holdin'
Girl, I'm not afraid

[Outro: Spoken Word]
MAN: Now, why did she send them? These broken down, wilted, beat up, rotten-looking flowers
WOMAN: You know, she actually called a florist and did the whole thing. And had them send — she must have had to say "send a dead — dozen dead roses"

blackbear

blackbear is the stage name of LA-based producer and singer-songwriter Mat Musto, popularly known for co-writing Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend,” in 2012. Some of his first collaborations were with the likes of Pharrell Williams, MGK, and Childish Gambino. Later, Musto reinvented himself—he coined the name blackbear from a previous EP titled Year of the Blackbear. Under his new name, he started leaning more towards rapping and an R&B-oriented style.

His first mixtape Sex included collaborations with his peers James Blake, Maejor Ali, and “Boyfriend” co-writer Mike Posner. The Afterglow followed in 2014.

In 2015, blackbear released “idfc,” as the lead single from his debut album Deadroses. It increased his fan following and revenue, earning him millions of playback streams and a spot on Billboard’s Uncharted List of Undiscovered and Upcoming Artists. The second single, “90210,” included a feature from G-Eazy—blackbear made an appearance in his 2014 track, “Remember You.”
