[Chorus]
When I needed you the most, I needed you
When I needed you the most, I needed you, the most
Now I won't be there to give you what you need
Now I won't be there, no

[Post-Chorus]
Spent three whole days, on cocaine
Haven't slept a wink, ain't eat a thing
But you've been on my mind this whole time (This whole time)

[Verse 1]
And one of these things that you told me
Is never forget, you'll never be lonely
And I know that, and I know now
Fact is...

[Chorus]
When I needed you the most, I needed you
I fucking needed you the most, I needed you, the most
Now I won't be there to give you what you need
Now I won't be there, no

[Verse 2]
You know this was never really 'bout us
And everything was always 'bout you
You never knew a thing about trust
And I knew everything about you, what's happening?
Three whole years, they can go by
In a blink of an eye, and you won't know it, but
What a damn waste of time

[Chorus]
When I needed you the most, I needed you
When I needed you the most, I needed you, the most
Now I won't be there to give you what you need
Now I won't be there, no

[Post-Chorus]
Spent three whole days, on cocaine
Haven't slept a wink, ain't eat a thing
But you've been on my mind this whole time

[Outro]
Tell you that you're doing it right when you're doing it wrong
You're doing it right when you're doing it wrong
I can't lie no more
Yeah

blackbear

blackbear is the stage name of LA-based producer and singer-songwriter Mat Musto, popularly known for co-writing Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend,” in 2012. Some of his first collaborations were with the likes of Pharrell Williams, MGK, and Childish Gambino. Later, Musto reinvented himself—he coined the name blackbear from a previous EP titled Year of the Blackbear. Under his new name, he started leaning more towards rapping and an R&B-oriented style.

His first mixtape Sex included collaborations with his peers James Blake, Maejor Ali, and “Boyfriend” co-writer Mike Posner. The Afterglow followed in 2014.

In 2015, blackbear released “idfc,” as the lead single from his debut album Deadroses. It increased his fan following and revenue, earning him millions of playback streams and a spot on Billboard’s Uncharted List of Undiscovered and Upcoming Artists. The second single, “90210,” included a feature from G-Eazy—blackbear made an appearance in his 2014 track, “Remember You.”
