Man in my dreams
I hold you tight for a minute
And kiss you for hours

Stranger
You stole into my heart
And set it all awhirl

I was already in love with you
But I never felt as close to you as I do now
My thoughts careen out of control

Why have you taken me by storm
Bursting into my dreary dreams
Sending shock waves in every direction?

Man in my dreams
I want you to be real
My heart can no longer resist

Searching in my dreams
At this minute I’m waiting
To kiss you for hours

Faye Wong

Faye Wong (born 8 August 1969), is a Chinese singer and actor who was one of the top Canto-pop artists of the 1990s. Although she primarily sings in Cantonese and Mandarin, she has performed a few songs in English. However, some of her most popular songs are Chinese translations of English-language alternative music.

Her performance of “夢中人”, a Cantonese cover of The Cranberries‘ “Dreams”, is featured in the soundtrack of Wong Kar-wai’s 1994 film Chungking Express. She co-stars in this film, as well as in Wong Kar-wai’s 2004 film 2046.
