(from National Lampoon: Endless Bummer soundtrack)

Life is so strange when you don't know
How can you tell where you're going to
You can't be sure of any situation
Something could change and then you won't know

Where do we go from here
It seems so all too near
Just as far beyond as I can see
I still don't know what this all means to me, no

I have nowhere to go
I don't know what to do
And I don't even know the time of day
I guess it doesn't matter anyway 'cause

(Life is so strange) destination unknown
(When you don't know) your destination
(Something could change) it's unknown
(And then you won't know) dеstination unknown

(Life is so strange) destination unknown
(Whеn you don't know) your destination
(Something could change) it's unknown
(And then you won't know) destination unknown

When will my time come
Has it all been said and done
I know I'll leave when it's my time to go
'Til then I'll carry on with what I know now

(Life is so strange) destination unknown
(When you don't know) your destination
(Something could change) it's unknown
(And then you won't know) destination unknown

(Life is so strange) destination unknown
(When you don't know) your destination
(Something could change) it's unknown
(And then you won't know) destination unknown

Life is so strange
Life is so strange

Joan Jett & The Blackhearts

After splitting with The Runaways, and releasing her first solo album, Joan Jett placed an ad in LA Weekly looking for bandmates. Gary Ryan, Eric Ambel, and Danny “Furious” O'Brien joined her, creating the orginial Blackhearts lineup.

After their initial tour though, O'Brien was replaced with Lee Crystal.

Early on, keeping the band afloat was not easy. Joan and producer Kenny Laguna struggled, sometimes selling copies of albums from the trunk of his car. Eventually unable to keep up with the demand for Joan Jett’s album, they signed with Boardwalk Records.
