[Verse 1]
I am always down every time you hit me up
I can't buckle down and say that it's enough
I'm always coming down, yeah
Almost every night, you're pulling up
Never get me high, high enough
Always coming down

[Pre-Chorus 1]
So is you really down, when I'm up or I'm down?
Is you really down, when I'm up or I'm down?
Is you down, is you down?

[Chorus]
When I'm up or I'm down
If the money ain't around
Is you ride or die?
Or is you ridin' out?
Would you leave me high and dry?
Would you dig me out the ground?
Would you leave me here to die, six feet down?

[Verse 2]
'Cause you are always down every time I hit you up
It's 3 AM, you tryna fuck
'Cause the club closed down
Shit has really got me down, it's fake as fuck
Hollywood love, who am I to judge?
Can't look down on you

[Pre-Chorus 2]
And I need to make some better life decisions
And these women got me by the balls, I gotta just admit it
It's like a gallery, these cars and clothes and calories
I know damn well she's lyin' when she say that she ain't bad for me

[Chorus]
I'm down
When I'm up or I'm down
If the money ain't around
Is you ride or die?
Or is you ridin' out?
Would you leave me high and dry?
Would you dig me out the ground?
Would you leave me here to die, six feet down?
'Cause you were always down

blackbear

blackbear is the stage name of LA-based producer and singer-songwriter Mat Musto, popularly known for co-writing Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend,” in 2012. Some of his first collaborations were with the likes of Pharrell Williams, MGK, and Childish Gambino. Later, Musto reinvented himself—he coined the name blackbear from a previous EP titled Year of the Blackbear. Under his new name, he started leaning more towards rapping and an R&B-oriented style.

His first mixtape Sex included collaborations with his peers James Blake, Maejor Ali, and “Boyfriend” co-writer Mike Posner. The Afterglow followed in 2014.

In 2015, blackbear released “idfc,” as the lead single from his debut album Deadroses. It increased his fan following and revenue, earning him millions of playback streams and a spot on Billboard’s Uncharted List of Undiscovered and Upcoming Artists. The second single, “90210,” included a feature from G-Eazy—blackbear made an appearance in his 2014 track, “Remember You.”
