[Verse 1 - Blackbear]
What is the emergency?
Did you start a fire? Did you start to bleed?
No need to call the police, no
It's just a little broken heart you see
Just a little emotion
So why the sense of urgency? Why the emotion?

[Pre-Chorus - Matt Thiessen]
It's gonna hurt
It's gonna hurt
You're gonna cry
Sometimes
It's gonna hurt
It's gonna hurt
You're gonna cry
Sometimes

[Chorus - Matt Thiessen & Blackbear]
If you don't know know know know know
When to say no no no no no
Oh, oh
You're gonna cry forever
If you don't know know know know know
When it's time to go go go go go
Oh, oh
You're gonna cry forever
You're gonna cry forever
You're gonna cry forever

[Verse 2 - Blackbear]
Yeah, so what is it you're crying bout?
It's only how the world turns around
The sky isn't falling down oh
Can you run to control your emotions?
Then maybe it won't hurt this much

[Pre-Chorus 2 - Matt Thiessen]
But it only get's worse
Get's worse
And I don't really think that it's gonna ever work
Oh it's gonna hurt
Gonna hurt
It's just a little emotion

[Chorus - Matt Thiessen & Blackbear]
If you don't know know know know know
When to say no no no no no
Oh, oh
You're gonna cry forever
If you don't know know know know know
When it's time to go go go go go
Oh, oh
You're gonna cry forever
You're gonna cry forever
You're gonna cry forever

blackbear

blackbear is the stage name of LA-based producer and singer-songwriter Mat Musto, popularly known for co-writing Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend,” in 2012. Some of his first collaborations were with the likes of Pharrell Williams, MGK, and Childish Gambino. Later, Musto reinvented himself—he coined the name blackbear from a previous EP titled Year of the Blackbear. Under his new name, he started leaning more towards rapping and an R&B-oriented style.

His first mixtape Sex included collaborations with his peers James Blake, Maejor Ali, and “Boyfriend” co-writer Mike Posner. The Afterglow followed in 2014.

In 2015, blackbear released “idfc,” as the lead single from his debut album Deadroses. It increased his fan following and revenue, earning him millions of playback streams and a spot on Billboard’s Uncharted List of Undiscovered and Upcoming Artists. The second single, “90210,” included a feature from G-Eazy—blackbear made an appearance in his 2014 track, “Remember You.”
