[Verse 1: Carly Rae Jepsen]
Feels good waking up in your way
My heart needed a holiday
I bet we can make things slide into Monday
I've been living with no regrets
Love was just a night at best
Two step, making the weekend slide into something

[Pre-Chorus: Carly Rae Jepsen]
One more night with you always turns to two
I can't help it 'cause it feels right when it feels right

[Chorus: Carly Rae Jepsen & Asa Taccone]
'Cause it feels like I've never loved
Now I got ya, and I only think of you
'Cause it feels like I've never loved
Now I'd do, boy, anything to step with you

[Verse 2: Carly Rae Jepsen]
True fact
Baby, I love you back, don't ask
Nothing I want to say
We know timing isn't right (Maybe one day)
'Til then, steal me a free weekend
You're my complicated friend
I'm just keeping the dream alive
But I must say

[Pre-Chorus: Carly Rae Jepsen]
One more night with you always turns to two
I can't help it 'cause it feels right, when it feels right

[Chorus: Carly Rae Jepsen & Asa Taccone]
'Cause it feels like I've never loved
Now I got ya, and I only think of you
'Cause it feels like I've never loved
And I do, boy, anything to step with you

[Bridge: Carly Rae Jepsen]
Feels like I've been wasting time
Look at all the things I've left behind
You're the one to change my mind
'Cause it feels right when it feels right
I don't know a thing I've done
Livin' all my life with no damn one
You're the one to change my mind
'Cause it feels right, when it feels right

[Instrumental Break]

[Chorus: Carly Rae Jepsen & Asa Taccone]
'Cause it feels like I've never loved
Now I got ya, and I only think of you
'Cause it feels like I've never loved
Now I do, boy, anything to step with you

Carly Rae Jepsen

Carly Rae Jepsen is a Canadian singer and songwriter. Born in 1985, she first came to fame by finishing in third place on the TV show Canadian Idol. Shortly afterwards, she released her debut album, Tug Of War, including the Canadian top 40 singles “Tug Of War” and “Bucket.”

Three years later, she released the single “Call Me Maybe” and planned to follow it with what would have been her second album, Curiosity. However, after the song caught the ear of fellow Canadian, Justin Bieber, he referred her to his manager, Scooter Braun, which led to her signing an international deal with Interscope Records. Before long, it became one of 2012’s most enduring hits, racking up over a billion YouTube views and topping the charts in 21 countries, including the US and Canada. The aforementioned Curiosity album was cut down to EP length, and work continued on her eventual sophomore LP, Kiss. Released in September 2012, it also featured the Owl City collaboration “Good Time”, which reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Jepsen returned in March 2015 with “I Really Like You,” the lead single from her third studio album. The song received a more muted reception than her breakout hit–although it did reach #2 in the United Kingdom–and consequently, the album, E•MO•TION, failed to make a substantial impact chartwise. Despite this, the album drew in a new wave of fans with its more experimental and mature sound; such was the amount of praise among both the public and critics that a follow-up EP of album outtakes–E•MO• Side B–was released on the album’s first anniversary.
