(Joan Jett/Kenny Laguna)

Life is never what you think
Give a sentimental wink
There ya go you don't know what's instore
But you felt it before

Hey I'm warmin' up to your insides
I don't worry cause I got no ties
Not a guy not a girl not a thing
Not a thing in this world

Come on out come on out
Come on out and play with me
Come on out come on out
Come on out and play with me

Hey baby did ya ever feel like being crazy
The borderlines are getting hazy
Rules are what we forgot you're a blaze
Leave them reeling for days

Come on out come on out
Come on out and play with me
Come on out come on out
Come on out and play with me

We'll have lots of fun let out emotions run
Nothing tonite is gonna get us down
We'll have lots of thunder let our emotions run
They go round and round and round round

Come on out come on out
Come on out and play with me
Come on out come on out
Come on out and play with me

Joan Jett & The Blackhearts

After splitting with The Runaways, and releasing her first solo album, Joan Jett placed an ad in LA Weekly looking for bandmates. Gary Ryan, Eric Ambel, and Danny “Furious” O'Brien joined her, creating the orginial Blackhearts lineup.

After their initial tour though, O'Brien was replaced with Lee Crystal.

Early on, keeping the band afloat was not easy. Joan and producer Kenny Laguna struggled, sometimes selling copies of albums from the trunk of his car. Eventually unable to keep up with the demand for Joan Jett’s album, they signed with Boardwalk Records.
