Deal with it
Here we go

I heard the back door slam an' you were
Goin' for good an' I didn't give a damn
Oh baby I knew I'd do just fine yeah
I looked around for my cash
There was a couple twenty missin' I said
Imagine that oh baby you musta thought I was blind

You know that I gave it all to you promises I followed through
What the hell did I see in you

The only good thing you ever said was goodbye
Now you're gone you won't see me cry
I won't miss you no not I
The only good thing you ever said was goodbye

I'm throwin' out all the things that you had given
Me for Christmas though I paid for every one myself
I'm gonna be alright
I saw the writing on the wall
You were stayin' out all night an' didn't even call
Oh baby it wasn't worth the fight no way

Don't know why it feels so strange
You're the same nothing ever changed
I know I only got myself to blame

The only good thing you ever said was goodbye who-huh
Now your're gone you won't see me cry
I won't miss you no not I
The only good thing you ever said was goodbye

You only told me lies, only phony alibies
I invented what I wanted in your eyes

The only good thing you ever said was goodbye
Now you're gone you won't see me cry
I won't miss you no not I
The only good thing you ever said was goodbye

The only good thing you every said was goodbye who-huh
Was a time when I woulda died
I ain't kiddin' I don't lie
The only good thing you ever said was goodbye

Joan Jett & The Blackhearts

After splitting with The Runaways, and releasing her first solo album, Joan Jett placed an ad in LA Weekly looking for bandmates. Gary Ryan, Eric Ambel, and Danny “Furious” O'Brien joined her, creating the orginial Blackhearts lineup.

After their initial tour though, O'Brien was replaced with Lee Crystal.

Early on, keeping the band afloat was not easy. Joan and producer Kenny Laguna struggled, sometimes selling copies of albums from the trunk of his car. Eventually unable to keep up with the demand for Joan Jett’s album, they signed with Boardwalk Records.
