[Verse 1]
You're like a dream
Though you seem to fade away
Remember the times, we shared a glass of wine
So, the story unwinds

The sun and the day has begun
And you and I are one
We share a love beyond compare
Erotic affair

[Pre-Chorus]
Here in a world of our own, making love
Baby, is this a dream that can't go on? No
Can we survive, can we make it last? Oh
Oh, girl, can we survive, can we survive?

[Chorus]
Melody, inside of me
Melody, you set me free with my
Melody, our lovе will always be
Harmony in melody

[Verse 2]
We livе in a time
Where we can't seem to find the way to love
But given a chance
We'll find a way to make romance

Show me your heart
And maybe we can start to share
A dream of our own, we'll never be alone
We'll live this erotic affair

[Pre-Chorus]
Here in a world of our own, making love
Ooh, baby, is this a dream that can't go on? No
Can we survive, can we make it last? Oh
Can we survive, can we survive?

[Chorus]
Melody, inside of me
Melody, you set me free with my
Melody, our love will always be
Harmony in melody

Melody, inside of me
Melody, you set me free with my
Melody, our love will always be
Harmony in melody

[Instrumental Break]

[Pre-Chorus]
Here in a world of our own, making love
Is this a dream that can't go on? No
Can we survive, can we make it last? Oh-ho-oh
Can we survive, can we survive? Ooh

[Chorus]
Melody, inside of me
Melody, you set me free with my
Melody, our love will always be
Harmony in melody

Melody, inside of me
Melody, you set me free with my
Melody, our love will always be
Harmony in melody

Melody, inside of me
Melody, you set me free with my
Melody, our love will always be
Harmony in melody

[Outro]
Harmony in melody
Harmony in me-lo, me-lo, me-lo...
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yay, yay, yay, yay, yaaay...
Erotic affair
Erotic affair, yeah
Erotic affair, Ooh
Erotic affair

Shalamar

Shalamar is an American R&B and soul music vocal group, active in the mid-1970s and throughout the 1980s. Their original lineup consisted of Jeffrey Daniel, Jody Watley, and Gary Mumford. The group went through various lineup changes throughout the years, with Mumford replaced by Gerald Brown, and again by Howard Hewett. The lineup of Daniel, Hewett, and Watley was the most successful, selling two Platinum albums (Three For Love, Friends) and one Gold album (Big Fun).

Despite more lineup changes in the ‘80s, the group still churned out hits such as “Dancing in the Sheets” and “Don’t Get Stopped in Beverly Hills”, which won them a Grammy.

Daniel, Hewett, and Watley eventually reunited several times in the ‘90s and as recently as 2015, playing in the UK where they’ve had the most success.
