You're drinking fool-aid, the fantasy you made to sell
Persona created don’t help you 'cause people can tell
Wherever you go your pose is an uncontrolled show
Your act is too much, I'm sick of the hot air you blow

Seriously
No one can take you seriously
I think it’s time that you hear it from me
I've got to let you go
Not one I want to know

I'll tell ya, you lost your soul and it's taken its toll on you
You're barely there, so unaware, who's who?
Change for the worse, that is your curse to bear
You're hard to take and I can't takе you
Can’t take you, I can’t take you

Seriously
Givе me a break, I'm saying seriously?
And you’re so fake, can't take you seriously
You'd better walk away
That's all I’ve got to say

Seriously
Give me a break, I'm saying seriously?
And you're so fake, can't take you seriously
You'd better walk away
'Cause this all ends today
I'm going to walk away
I'm going to walk away

Joan Jett & The Blackhearts

After splitting with The Runaways, and releasing her first solo album, Joan Jett placed an ad in LA Weekly looking for bandmates. Gary Ryan, Eric Ambel, and Danny “Furious” O'Brien joined her, creating the orginial Blackhearts lineup.

After their initial tour though, O'Brien was replaced with Lee Crystal.

Early on, keeping the band afloat was not easy. Joan and producer Kenny Laguna struggled, sometimes selling copies of albums from the trunk of his car. Eventually unable to keep up with the demand for Joan Jett’s album, they signed with Boardwalk Records.
