[Verse 1]
I don't wanna fight no more
Sick and tired of slammin' doors
I keep tryna leave, but you make me stay
'Cause it's all my name, make me feel safe, yeah, yeah, yeah
I don't wanna cry no more
Tears are pouring down like it's a thunderstorm
I keep tryna leave, but you always say
That it's all my fault and I'm to blame
I really hate it when you say that

[Chorus]
My heart is beating in my chest, we'll never be friends, ah
My heart is hanging by a thread, we've come to the end, ah
My heart, my heart, my heart is turnin' numb, ah, yeah, ah
My heart, my heart, my heart is dead and gone, ah, yeah

[Verse 2]
Used to be a dream come true
Went to Paris, nearly got the same tattoo
Wore each other's clothes, held each other's hands
'Cause it didn't turn how we planned, ah-ah-ah
But now it's all lies, on thin ice
The nights are 'round and they hurt, don't think twice
Wore each other's clothes, held each other's hands
Don't pretend that you don't understand
I really hate it when you say that

[Chorus]
My heart is beating in my chest, we'll never be friends, ah
My heart is hanging by a thread, we've come to the end, ah
My heart, my heart, my heart is turnin' numb, ah, yeah, ah
My heart, my heart, my heart is dead and gone, ah, yeah

[Bridge]
We'll never be friends, we'll never be friends
We'll never be friends, no
We'll never be friends, we'll never be friends
We'll never be friends, no
We'll never be friends, we'll never be friends
We'll never be friends, no
You really hate it when I say that

[Chorus]
My heart is beating in my chest, we'll never be friends, ah
My heart is hanging by a thread, we've come to the end, ah
My heart, my heart, my heart is turnin' numb, ah, yeah, ah
My heart, my heart, my heart is dead and gone, ah, yeah

Charli XCX

Charlotte Emma Aitchison (born 2 August 1992), known professionally as Charli XCX, is an English singer-songwriter known for her eclectic style. She began making music at fourteen, and her debut release was a 2008 limited-edition album aptly titled 14.

By 2010, Charli signed to Atlantic Records, and released her debut single “Stay Away” in May 2011. She released her “real” debut album, True Romance, in 2013. The record met critical acclaim but failed to attain much commercial success. Charli’s true breakthrough came with the release of hit collaborations like Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” and Icona Pop’s “I Love It.”

In April 2014, Charli found solo success with “Boom Clap,” which was featured on the soundtrack of The Fault in Our Stars. It’s now certified triple platinum in the United States and gold in her native United Kingdom. Her sophomore album, Sucker, was a pop-punk oriented effort and enjoyed more success than her debut. “Break The Rules,” “Doing It” (featuring Rita Ora), and “Famous” all performed well on the UK singles chart.
