[Verse 1]
Lost right at night laying next to you sleeping
I’m wide awake in your bed
Head on your chest, staring up at the ceiling
Feels like I’m playing pretend
The silence felt violent, been real for the first time
We used to talk until dawn
Head on your chest and I’m feeling you breathing, yeah
But it’s like the oxygen's gone

[Pre-Chorus]
We’re out of time

[Chorus]
It’s 3:05, I’m parked outside
Wondering if I should leave this place behind
No, I can’t decide
Every second longer, it gets harder
I know it’s over and it’s making me nervous
You know I never meant to hurt you on purpose
But it’s time, and I’m staring outside
Trying to find the words to make you feel alright
But I can’t decide
Every second longer, it gets harder
I know it’s over and it’s making me nervous
You know I never meant to hurt you on purpose

[Post-Chorus]
Hurt you on purpose
Hurt you on purpose

[Verse 2]
This is the part where we both try to fix it
Sex for the weekend instead
Instead of us coming to terms with our feelings, ya ya
Some good things were made to forget, ya it’s true

[Pre-Chorus]
We’re out of time

[Chorus]
It’s 3:05, I’m parked outside
Wondering if I should leave this place behind
No, I can’t decide
Every second longer, it gets harder
I know it’s over and it’s making me nervous
You know I never meant to hurt you on purpose
But it’s time, and I’m staring outside
Trying to find the words to make you feel alright
But I can’t decide
Every second longer, it gets harder
I know it’s over and it’s making me nervous
You know I never meant to hurt you on purpose

[Post-Chorus]
Hurt you on purpose
Hurt you on purpose

Charli XCX

Charlotte Emma Aitchison (born 2 August 1992), known professionally as Charli XCX, is an English singer-songwriter known for her eclectic style. She began making music at fourteen, and her debut release was a 2008 limited-edition album aptly titled 14.

By 2010, Charli signed to Atlantic Records, and released her debut single “Stay Away” in May 2011. She released her “real” debut album, True Romance, in 2013. The record met critical acclaim but failed to attain much commercial success. Charli’s true breakthrough came with the release of hit collaborations like Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” and Icona Pop’s “I Love It.”

In April 2014, Charli found solo success with “Boom Clap,” which was featured on the soundtrack of The Fault in Our Stars. It’s now certified triple platinum in the United States and gold in her native United Kingdom. Her sophomore album, Sucker, was a pop-punk oriented effort and enjoyed more success than her debut. “Break The Rules,” “Doing It” (featuring Rita Ora), and “Famous” all performed well on the UK singles chart.
