Songwriter: Charli XCX

[Verse 1]
This night is young
Feels like I've been here forever
I want to stop, ooh
Drinking too much
My head has been in hell forever
I gotta give up, oh

[Pre-Chorus]
Got girlfriends, boyfriends
Best dress on
Cocaine, ice cubes
Platinum blondes
Empty glasses, black Patron
But somehow I don't feel at home

[Chorus]
The city's alive
The lights are so bright
But inside my mind
I'm in the darkness
My friends have all gone
I'm here on my own
I'm walking alone through the darkness

[Post-Chorus]
I am walking alone in the
I am walking alone in the
I am walking alone in the, in the
In the darkness

[Verse 2]
Smoke fades quickly
Yeah, I'm sick and tired of all the sadness
When I'm tryna get down
Cars pass through me
But I'm lost inside all the madness
No, I can't hear a sound, oh

[Pre-Chorus]
Got on the guest list with plus one
Six AM, I see the sun
Heart is heavy, weights are turned
I hope my limousine will come

[Chorus]
The city's alive
The lights are so bright
But inside my mind
I'm in the darkness
My friends have all gone
I'm here on my own
I'm walking alone through the darkness

[Post-Chorus]
I am walking alone in the
I am walking alone in the
I am walking alone in the
In the darkness
I am walking alone in the
I am walking alone in the
I am walking alone in the, in the
In the darkness

[Outro]
I am walking alone in the
I am walking alone in the
I am walking alone in the
In the darkness
I am walking alone in the
I am walking alone in the
I am walking alone in the, in the
In the darkness

Charli XCX

Charlotte Emma Aitchison (born 2 August 1992), known professionally as Charli XCX, is an English singer-songwriter known for her eclectic style. She began making music at fourteen, and her debut release was a 2008 limited-edition album aptly titled 14.

By 2010, Charli signed to Atlantic Records, and released her debut single “Stay Away” in May 2011. She released her “real” debut album, True Romance, in 2013. The record met critical acclaim but failed to attain much commercial success. Charli’s true breakthrough came with the release of hit collaborations like Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” and Icona Pop’s “I Love It.”

In April 2014, Charli found solo success with “Boom Clap,” which was featured on the soundtrack of The Fault in Our Stars. It’s now certified triple platinum in the United States and gold in her native United Kingdom. Her sophomore album, Sucker, was a pop-punk oriented effort and enjoyed more success than her debut. “Break The Rules,” “Doing It” (featuring Rita Ora), and “Famous” all performed well on the UK singles chart.
