Songwriter: Charli XCX

[Verse 1]
I will drive for you through the dark of the night
With a broken headlight, it's too late, we feel
I would face every feel that I have
And I'd never go back just to know the truth
You're so real that I fall to my knees
Can't I just have a piece of what's left of you
I don't know anything about love, but I know what I want
You're the living proof

[Chorus 1]
I can feel my heartbeat running, running away
You got that special somethin', somethin' to crave
I think you're beautiful, you make me want to stay, yeah
I can feel my heartbeat running, running away
You got that special somethin', somethin' to crave
I think you're beautiful, you make me want to stay, yeah

[Verse 2]
Calling out with your head on my chest
In a [?] you can pass, that you're feeling lost
Try to heal me, your thoughts are your flames
And your [?] are your wings and I want them all
You and I, a [?] to the night, side by side

[Chorus 2]
I can feel my heartbeat running, running away
You got that special somethin', somethin' to crave
I think you're beautiful, you make me want to stay, yeah
Oh, you make my blood [?] rushin', rushin' my veins
I always hear you comin', comin' my way
I think you're beautiful, you make me want to stay, yeah

[Bridge]
Hold me up, don't let me down
Just call me up, don't let me down
You've called me up, don't let me down
You always save me, girl
[?] make me, I don't even know
I will drive for you through the dark of the night
With a broken headlight, it's too late, we feel

Charli XCX

Charlotte Emma Aitchison (born 2 August 1992), known professionally as Charli XCX, is an English singer-songwriter known for her eclectic style. She began making music at fourteen, and her debut release was a 2008 limited-edition album aptly titled 14.

By 2010, Charli signed to Atlantic Records, and released her debut single “Stay Away” in May 2011. She released her “real” debut album, True Romance, in 2013. The record met critical acclaim but failed to attain much commercial success. Charli’s true breakthrough came with the release of hit collaborations like Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” and Icona Pop’s “I Love It.”

In April 2014, Charli found solo success with “Boom Clap,” which was featured on the soundtrack of The Fault in Our Stars. It’s now certified triple platinum in the United States and gold in her native United Kingdom. Her sophomore album, Sucker, was a pop-punk oriented effort and enjoyed more success than her debut. “Break The Rules,” “Doing It” (featuring Rita Ora), and “Famous” all performed well on the UK singles chart.
