[Verse 1]
Here we are again
Posted on the corners
Street where we grew up
Drinkin' Arizona
Got a different touch
Now that we are older, older

[Pre-Chorus]
I don't wanna say goodbye and then
Go home thinkin' where we at, holding back
I don't wanna leave, you're just a friend
Gotta know we're more than that, more than that, more than that

[Chorus]
We way past introductions
It's too late for discussion
Baby follow instructions, uh huh
Yeah we're both feeling something
Now it's all or it's nothin'
Baby follow instructions
Shut the door, shut your mouth, hit the lights
Gimme you, gimmie it, every night
We way past introductions
It's too late for discussion
Baby follow instructions, uh huh
Ooh, baby follow instructions, uh huh
Ooh, baby follow instructions

[Verse 2]
Woke up in your shirt
I can tell you like it
This could be a thing
Finally down to try it
Just say what you need
I've already decided, decided

[Pre-Chorus]
I don't wanna say goodbye and then
Go home thinkin' where we at, holding back
I don't wanna leave her just a friend
Gotta know we're more than that, more than that, more than that

[Chorus]
We way past introductions
It's too late for discussion
Baby follow instructions, uh huh
Yeah we're both feeling something
Now it's all or it's nothin'
Baby follow instructions
Shut the door, shut your mouth, hit the lights
Gimme you, gimmie it, every night
We way past introductions
It's too late for discussion
Baby follow instructions, uh huh
Ooh, baby follow instructions, uh huh
Ooh, baby follow instructions
Shut the door, shut your mouth, hit the lights
Gimme you, gimmie me it, every night
We way past introductions
It's too late for discussion
Baby follow instructions, uh huh

[Bridge]
Runnin' round, pull my hair
Kitchen floor, on the stairs
Lay me down, I've been waiting
Just baby do what I tell you
Just read my lips and I'm there too, uh huh

[Chorus]
Ooh, baby follow instructions, uh huh
Ooh, baby follow instructions
Shut the door, shut your mouth, hit the lights
Gimme you, gimmie it, every night
We way past introductions
It's too late for discussion
Baby follow instructions, uh huh

Tinashe

Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe, known mononymously as Tinashe, is an American singer-songwriter, actress, dancer, and former model born in Lexington, Kentucky and raised in Los Angeles, California.

Born on February 6, 1993, her rise to fame began with her acting on shows such as Two and a Half Men. Initially making her debut in the music industry via the short-lived girl group The Stunners—which also featured Hayley Kiyoko—she garnered attention from online music blogs with her 2012 mixtape, In Case We Die. Signing with RCA Records shortly after, she released two further mixtapes later that year and in 2013: Reverie and Black Water respectively. “2 On” was released in January 2014 as the lead single from her debut album, Aquarius, and remains her biggest solo single to date. Released in October that year, the album was praised by critics for its merging of old-school R&B sounds and fresh 2010s trends. The follow-up was subjected to much-criticised although “Player” was billed as the collection’s lead single as early as October 2015, songs released from the project failed to reach the label’s expectations, resulting in the release of an album’s worth of outtakes from the album, Nightride, in November 2016. Joyride was finally released on April 13: it features the singles “No Drama”, “Faded Love” and “Me So Bad”.

On February 18, 2019, Tinashe parted ways with her longtime record label RCA. By November that year, she inked a new management deal with Roc Nation and self-released Songs for You, her fourth studio album.
