[Verse 1]
The middle of the night
There ain't nobody home
You're all that's on my mind when I'm in bed alone
See now, I'm with this guy
He's blowing up my phone
Hey sayin' he wants to wife me, but that's not what I want

[Pre-Chorus]
How do I get out, when you're all I think about when I'm with him?
Probably doesn't even know
Bet he doesn't even notice how I do my hair or what I wear
Whenever you're there
Don't wanna give in, but you make me wanna go
Yeah, you make me wanna

[Chorus]
You make me wanna leave the one I'm with
He don't show me no love
You make me wanna leave the one I'm with
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
You make me wanna leave him to be with somebody like you
You make me wanna leave the one I'm with
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
You make me wanna
You make me wanna
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah

[Verse 2]
When we're eye to eye, I wonder what we'd be
In another life, it was you and me
My boyfriend is alright, but he isn't right for me
I guess you're more my type, we we're meant to be

[Pre-Chorus]
How do I get out, when you're all I think about when I'm with him?
Probably doesn't even know
Bet he doesn't even notice how I do my hair or what I wear
Whenever you're there
Don't wanna give in, but you make me wanna go
Yeah, you make me wanna

[Chorus]
You make me wanna leave the one I'm with
He don't show me no love
You make me wanna leave the one I'm with
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
You make me wanna leave him to be with somebody like you
You make me wanna leave the one I'm with
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
You make, make me
You make me wanna
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah

[Bridge]
Nights like this, I wish it was you
Your tender touch, got me coming on too
'Cause we're meant to be together
Because you would treat me better
So tonight I'm gonna, gonna love you like I, wanna

[Chorus]
You make me wanna leave the one I'm with
He don't show me no love
You make me wanna leave the one I'm with
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
You make me wanna leave him to be with somebody like you
You make me wanna leave the one I'm with
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
You make, make me
You make, make me
Yeah, yeah, yeah
You make me wanna
You make, make me
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Tinashe

Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe, known mononymously as Tinashe, is an American singer-songwriter, actress, dancer, and former model born in Lexington, Kentucky and raised in Los Angeles, California.

Born on February 6, 1993, her rise to fame began with her acting on shows such as Two and a Half Men. Initially making her debut in the music industry via the short-lived girl group The Stunners—which also featured Hayley Kiyoko—she garnered attention from online music blogs with her 2012 mixtape, In Case We Die. Signing with RCA Records shortly after, she released two further mixtapes later that year and in 2013: Reverie and Black Water respectively. “2 On” was released in January 2014 as the lead single from her debut album, Aquarius, and remains her biggest solo single to date. Released in October that year, the album was praised by critics for its merging of old-school R&B sounds and fresh 2010s trends. The follow-up was subjected to much-criticised although “Player” was billed as the collection’s lead single as early as October 2015, songs released from the project failed to reach the label’s expectations, resulting in the release of an album’s worth of outtakes from the album, Nightride, in November 2016. Joyride was finally released on April 13: it features the singles “No Drama”, “Faded Love” and “Me So Bad”.

On February 18, 2019, Tinashe parted ways with her longtime record label RCA. By November that year, she inked a new management deal with Roc Nation and self-released Songs for You, her fourth studio album.
