[Verse 1]
Quiet nights
Leanin' on my headboard
In my bed clothes
Mhmm
Thinkin' 'bout all the thing you said boy
Like an echo
Mhmm

[Pre-Chorus]
And I been wrong
I'll admit it
I'm not perfect though I try
Heal me down
Oh you did that
Didn't even blink an eye
But I'm strong
I move on
Guess the timing wasn't right
From here on out
Best believe it
You won't even see me cry

[Chorus]
Oh guess that I don't need your help
Umma do it by myself
Just 'cuz I'm alone
Doesn't mean I'm lonely oh
I can handle on my own
Better off
Solo
Solo
Oh Oh
I can handle on my own
Better off
Solo
Solo
Oh Oh
That's the way I like it though

[Verse 2]
Cloudy days
Rollin' on the freeway
With the top down
Mhmm
So I can drown out the whispers with the wind in my bass loud
You were right
I'll admit it
When you overlook my strength
Testify
That's within me
It's that shit that you can't take
And I won't
I won't give in
'Til I can't look
You in your face and say "Hey thank you for insensitive tours, this money in the bank."

Tinashe

Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe, known mononymously as Tinashe, is an American singer-songwriter, actress, dancer, and former model born in Lexington, Kentucky and raised in Los Angeles, California.

Born on February 6, 1993, her rise to fame began with her acting on shows such as Two and a Half Men. Initially making her debut in the music industry via the short-lived girl group The Stunners—which also featured Hayley Kiyoko—she garnered attention from online music blogs with her 2012 mixtape, In Case We Die. Signing with RCA Records shortly after, she released two further mixtapes later that year and in 2013: Reverie and Black Water respectively. “2 On” was released in January 2014 as the lead single from her debut album, Aquarius, and remains her biggest solo single to date. Released in October that year, the album was praised by critics for its merging of old-school R&B sounds and fresh 2010s trends. The follow-up was subjected to much-criticised although “Player” was billed as the collection’s lead single as early as October 2015, songs released from the project failed to reach the label’s expectations, resulting in the release of an album’s worth of outtakes from the album, Nightride, in November 2016. Joyride was finally released on April 13: it features the singles “No Drama”, “Faded Love” and “Me So Bad”.

On February 18, 2019, Tinashe parted ways with her longtime record label RCA. By November that year, she inked a new management deal with Roc Nation and self-released Songs for You, her fourth studio album.
