[Intro]
Got darker parts of my mind, yeah
Got darker days on this grind, yeah
Never pay no mind to what a hater say
Criticize myself more than anybody anyway

[Pre-Chorus]
Livin' dreams but these nightmares keeping me awake
Demons whisper in the dark
Telling me it's a mistake
To have faith in my own grind
But I got power over my own mind

[Chorus]
I feel-I feel-I feel
I feel like Doctor Strange, yeah (yeah-yeah-yeah)
If we talking demons, know the language (the language)
Yeah, I feel like Doctor Strange, yeah (yeah, yeah)
Teach you how to persevere through the pain, yeah (yeah, yeah)
They ask me how I stay so positive
I know where my demons live
Visit but don't let 'em in (don't let 'em in)
Said I visit but don't let 'em in (don't let 'em in)
Yeah, I visit but don't let 'em in
I feel-I feel-I feel
I feel like Doctor Strange, yeah (yeah-yeah-yeah)
If we talking demons, know the language (the language)
Yeah, I feel like Doctor Strange, yeah (yeah, yeah)
Teach you how to persevere through the pain, yeah (yeah, yeah)
They ask me how I stay so positive
I know where my demons live
Visit but don't let 'em in (don't let 'em in)
Said I visit but don't let 'em in (don't let 'em in)
Yeah, I visit but don't let 'em in

[Verse]
Wasn't always so easy (easy)
Still hungry like "feed me" (feed me)
Remember how they would treat me (treat me)
Now they can't even see me (yeah!)
I ain't trippin', I still got a lot to do
Might be stuntin' if you put me in the mood
Show a different face, still remember you
I'm in a different place, so what you tryna prove?
I did it, I do it, showin' you
So check up on me like I'm some Nike shoes
Doc Strange the way I kill the demons
That negativity that y'all believe in
Can't believe it
I could help you learn to breathe free
Kill the hatred comin' out your teeth
But first you gotta believe me
Jealousy is toxic, demonic as it gets
Greed is just as poisonous, y'all see what it infects?
Takes over the mind
Leavin' souls behind
Leavin' hearts along the way
The eyes for eyes left blind
I know it better than most
Ain't something I boast
But I turn my demons to ghosts
I found the beauty in thorns that cover the rose
'Cause they're there to make sure it grows
I found the beauty in rain that darkens the clouds
The growth to that rose it allows
These days, I'm less about when
And more about how

[Bridge]
I know, I know
Said, I know, I know
I know, I know
Said, I know, I know
I know how to fight the demons (I know)
How to get 'em all retreating (I know)
How to get you back to dreamin' (I know)
'Cause I learned how to fight the demons
It's all up in your head
Stand up for what you rep
Don't need no one's approval
For what you go and get

[Pre-Chorus]
Livin' dreams but these nightmares keeping you awake
Demons whisper in the dark
Telling you it's a mistake
To have faith in your own grind
But you got power over your own mind

Abstract

Growing up in New Jersey, Luke Terkovich, otherwise known as Abstract, was involved with music at an early age. Learning how to play piano, electric guitar, and the drums were Luke’s first involvement with music — and he did it all before 6th grade. With a move across country from New Jersey to Jackson, Wyoming, the distance between learning and playing new instruments got larger. It wasn’t until several years later that Luke began to mess around with freestyling during his high school years spent at Jackson Hole High. Evolving his newly found musical expression into Raised in Jackson, WY, Abstract is known for his immense musical versatility and affinity for providing uplifting music for a turbulent world. With a knack for storytelling, he provides introspective motivation to all who take the time to dive into his work. Notably known for his remix of Ruth Bs Lost Boy “Neverland” which has garnered hundreds of millions of plays on YouTube, his work with Drumma Battalion and Roze, and his 2016 album Something to Write Home About. He heads a collective known as “A Team Worldwide” 5 musicians from 4 different countries. Producers Drumma Battalion of Norway, Blulake of Sweden, Cryo Music of Scotland, and Abstract. Coming off his first overseas tour with YONAS, the ATWW collective is gearing up to drop Abstracts new album/experience late summer 2018.writing detailed lyrics, he began to find that he could vent the stresses of his everyday life through creating music. Slowly progressing through the years of his new town where he calls home; balancing school, life, and music developed Luke to become Abstract.

Trying to find his sound was a young teenager who just looked to get something written down and then translated into music, and eventually rap. Still in his caterpillar stage of metamorphosis was a young Abstract who released his first ever collection of songs, properly named The Dream.

In 2012, through YouTube, Abstract met Craig McAllister, a producer from Glasgow, Scotland. During that period, Abstract was in the midst of working on On My Own Time and was the first time Craig showed up with Abstract. Afterwards, the duo started to mesh extremely well and produced the five projects, Under Lights & Microscopes, A Life To Live By, Dreaming With Eyes Open, The Science Of Feeling Tall, and We Are The Artist.
