[Chorus: Aspen Dawn]
I never once looked before I jumped
They say that's just because I'm young
And when I fall down and skin my knees
I never believe that I will bleed, running wild, living free
The freest we will ever be
You and I will live our lives like we're never gonna die

[Verse 1: Abstract]
You ask what I would change
If I could go back to the days when I was tired of my ways
Would I set fire to the pain when life refused to stay the same?
I know I'm not the best with change
Never been the one to act my age
Never been too quick to turn the page
Lives younger than I am now
I swear 6 years feel like 95
Feel like through it I done lived a couple lives
There's a growing process to the other side
Happiness is never given, no, happiness is a decision, so
I been learning how to live it, slow, take it in with every minute, go
Nowadays everybody want it right now, that's a dream
That's money, that's our culture right now
That's a Netflix binge, that's a quick text back
Anxiety built when it ain't like that
That's a lot of life lost living life too fast
Lot of views unseen, lotta love gets lost
Skimming through our lives so we staying on the surface
Run on water cause we feel the depths uncertain
Swear life's better when you just dive in
Fakes don't float where the real ones swim
Depths get deep where the real takes leaps
And the sharks gon' eat what the real deem weak
So much underneath if you just take time
To explore your world both in and outside
No one's life like yours, no one's life like mine
I just hope you see the beauty 'fore it pass you by

[Chorus: Aspen Dawn]
I never once looked before I jumped
They say that's just because I'm young
And when I fall down and skin my knees
I never believe that I will bleed, running wild, living free
The freest we will ever be
You and I will live our lives like we're never gonna die

[Verse 2: Abstract]
Needed me to hear it, I need you to see it
Everything you are, hope you get to be it
This right here the secret
While you're getting there, elevation changes—feel it in the air
Don't forget to breathe it, don't forget to stop
Look behind you at the miles that you walked
Beauty is the journey getting to the dream
Dreams are dreamt to teach us who we're meant to be
Bigger than revenge, bigger than an ends
I was young and stupid, I cannot pretend
But this journey taught me what I had to be
Wasn't always pretty but I had to see
Wasn't always me, sometimes it was greed
Sometimes it was hate, we all make mistakes
Life ain't always great, but we're 'sposed to learn
Play with fire, know that life will get you burned
So I been chasing lifelines for a lifetime
Now I have my heart in the right place at the right time
With the right girl in the right world
I learned about how love really feel
I taught myself how to really heal
Went from what's up to what's really real
'Cause the world got a plan way bigger than your dreams
It don't care what you want, it just care what you need
Gonna take you through a process, never make it obvious
Most times you ain't even gonna see the progress
Stop one day on your way on up
When the air gets thin and the road gets rough
See the beauty in the steps that you're yet to take
And find the steps you missed were never by mistake

[Chorus: Aspen Dawn]
I never once looked before I jumped
They say that's just because I'm young
And when I fall down and skin my knees
I never believe that I will bleed, running wild, living free
The freest we will ever be
You and I will live our lives like we're never gonna die

Abstract

Growing up in New Jersey, Luke Terkovich, otherwise known as Abstract, was involved with music at an early age. Learning how to play piano, electric guitar, and the drums were Luke’s first involvement with music — and he did it all before 6th grade. With a move across country from New Jersey to Jackson, Wyoming, the distance between learning and playing new instruments got larger. It wasn’t until several years later that Luke began to mess around with freestyling during his high school years spent at Jackson Hole High. Evolving his newly found musical expression into Raised in Jackson, WY, Abstract is known for his immense musical versatility and affinity for providing uplifting music for a turbulent world. With a knack for storytelling, he provides introspective motivation to all who take the time to dive into his work. Notably known for his remix of Ruth Bs Lost Boy “Neverland” which has garnered hundreds of millions of plays on YouTube, his work with Drumma Battalion and Roze, and his 2016 album Something to Write Home About. He heads a collective known as “A Team Worldwide” 5 musicians from 4 different countries. Producers Drumma Battalion of Norway, Blulake of Sweden, Cryo Music of Scotland, and Abstract. Coming off his first overseas tour with YONAS, the ATWW collective is gearing up to drop Abstracts new album/experience late summer 2018.writing detailed lyrics, he began to find that he could vent the stresses of his everyday life through creating music. Slowly progressing through the years of his new town where he calls home; balancing school, life, and music developed Luke to become Abstract.

Trying to find his sound was a young teenager who just looked to get something written down and then translated into music, and eventually rap. Still in his caterpillar stage of metamorphosis was a young Abstract who released his first ever collection of songs, properly named The Dream.

In 2012, through YouTube, Abstract met Craig McAllister, a producer from Glasgow, Scotland. During that period, Abstract was in the midst of working on On My Own Time and was the first time Craig showed up with Abstract. Afterwards, the duo started to mesh extremely well and produced the five projects, Under Lights & Microscopes, A Life To Live By, Dreaming With Eyes Open, The Science Of Feeling Tall, and We Are The Artist.
