[Chorus: RoZe]
Sometimes, yeah, sometimes
It gets hard tryna reach my goals (hard tryna reach my goals)
Sometimes, yeah, sometimes
I pretend like I'm real close (pretend like I'm real close)
Sometimes, yeah, sometimes
I have to put my life on hold (to put my life on hold)
Sometimes, yeah, sometimes
I can't dream because
I'm still woke
Woke, woke, woke, woke
Woke, I'm still woke
Woke, woke, woke, woke
Yeah, I'm still woke
I'm-I'm still woke
Woke, woke, woke, woke
Ayy, I'm still woke
Woke, woke, woke, woke
Yeah, I'm still woke

[Verse 1: Abstract]
My life is music; when I hit that mic, I gain control
Speakin' purely through my soul when my mind's in overload
For so long I was cold, I mean, my heart was froze
Treadmillin' emotions, how the fuck was I supposed to grow?
But how the fuck were they supposed to know that my ambitions had me dissing those creating distance from me and my goals?
I was so bitter
Feeling like I was the runt of the litter
But now I deliver like Domino's dinner
Go call me whatever, but can't call me quitter
I'm stuck in my work, they all wanna be eatin', but then they desert
Wasn't here in the kitchen, I ate and did dishes; why they here for dessert?
They tryna wife the game, but all they ever do is flirt
I give my heart, I give my soul, I swear I really put in work
Now they look up to me; we see from the same height on the same earth
Walk the same ground through the same dirt, live the same love and the same hurt
'Cause I'm still woke, but my dreams keep teasin' me
They ask when I'm gon' blow up, but that ain't up to me

[Chorus: RoZe]
Sometimes, yeah, sometimes
It gets hard tryna reach my goals (hard tryna reach my goals)
Sometimes, yeah, sometimes
I pretend like I'm real close (pretend like I'm real close)
Sometimes, yeah, sometimes
I have to put my life on hold (to put my life on hold)
Sometimes, yeah, sometimes
I can't dream because
I'm still woke
Woke, woke, woke, woke
Woke, I'm still woke
Woke, woke, woke, woke
Yeah, I'm still woke
I'm-I'm still woke
Woke, woke, woke, woke
Ayy, I'm still woke
Woke, woke, woke, woke
Yeah, I'm still woke

[Verse 2: Abstract]
Still woke, screaming, "What the hell I gotta do?"
Where the hell I gotta take it just to get it through to you?
Switching states, constant moves, I even been switching crews
That's the way it happened, but it's not what I wanted to do
Remember talkin' bout the top, talking how we'd make it earthquake
And when we hit the ground till the day we make it
Kept it concentrated while they watered down, that's why they hated
Till I make it, learn to simulate it, Neo in The Matrix
Struggle rappin', not by choice—for where I'm at, I should rejoice
Rollin' through the city with the crew screaming, "We 'dem boys!"
We up next like we with Khaled, called it, feelin' we the best
Girls want me signing theirs by gettin weight up off my chest
'Cause God and I may disagree, but these days I've been feeling blessed
Pretty crazy how this life is mine
Still woke but I'll get my shine
Bored, broke, you know I still grind
Maybe one day I'll wake up, find I was dreaming the whole time

[Chorus: RoZe]
Sometimes, yeah, sometimes
It gets hard tryna reach my goals (hard tryna reach my goals)
Sometimes, yeah, sometimes
I pretend like I'm real close (pretend like I'm real close)
Sometimes, yeah, sometimes
I have to put my life on hold (to put my life on hold)
Sometimes, yeah, sometimes
I can't dream because
I'm still woke
Woke, woke, woke, woke
Woke, I'm still woke
Woke, woke, woke, woke
Yeah, I'm still woke
I'm-I'm still woke
Woke, woke, woke, woke
Ayy, I'm still woke
Woke, woke, woke, woke
Yeah, I'm still woke

Abstract

Growing up in New Jersey, Luke Terkovich, otherwise known as Abstract, was involved with music at an early age. Learning how to play piano, electric guitar, and the drums were Luke’s first involvement with music — and he did it all before 6th grade. With a move across country from New Jersey to Jackson, Wyoming, the distance between learning and playing new instruments got larger. It wasn’t until several years later that Luke began to mess around with freestyling during his high school years spent at Jackson Hole High. Evolving his newly found musical expression into Raised in Jackson, WY, Abstract is known for his immense musical versatility and affinity for providing uplifting music for a turbulent world. With a knack for storytelling, he provides introspective motivation to all who take the time to dive into his work. Notably known for his remix of Ruth Bs Lost Boy “Neverland” which has garnered hundreds of millions of plays on YouTube, his work with Drumma Battalion and Roze, and his 2016 album Something to Write Home About. He heads a collective known as “A Team Worldwide” 5 musicians from 4 different countries. Producers Drumma Battalion of Norway, Blulake of Sweden, Cryo Music of Scotland, and Abstract. Coming off his first overseas tour with YONAS, the ATWW collective is gearing up to drop Abstracts new album/experience late summer 2018.writing detailed lyrics, he began to find that he could vent the stresses of his everyday life through creating music. Slowly progressing through the years of his new town where he calls home; balancing school, life, and music developed Luke to become Abstract.

Trying to find his sound was a young teenager who just looked to get something written down and then translated into music, and eventually rap. Still in his caterpillar stage of metamorphosis was a young Abstract who released his first ever collection of songs, properly named The Dream.

In 2012, through YouTube, Abstract met Craig McAllister, a producer from Glasgow, Scotland. During that period, Abstract was in the midst of working on On My Own Time and was the first time Craig showed up with Abstract. Afterwards, the duo started to mesh extremely well and produced the five projects, Under Lights & Microscopes, A Life To Live By, Dreaming With Eyes Open, The Science Of Feeling Tall, and We Are The Artist.
