Songwriter: Abstract

Producer: Blulake

[Intro: John Mayer]
It doesn't matter where you roam
When no one's left to call you home
I might have strayed a bit too far
I'm counting all the moonlit stars

[Verse 1: Abstract]
I was told to get lost
So I got lost for years
Found myself in the mountains
Became one with my fears
Moved with the wind, changed my mood by the weather
Driftin' through miles which headed wherever
While driftin' through smiles fake as trees in December
But the path I traced back's not the path I remember
'Cause to me, "love"'s a four-letter, forever word
To her, it's a promise till better occurs, but I'll be me
Till my heartbeat hit the "delete" on my world
So feed me all that I need if I give you the world
That's a promise, hope you heal it when I've lost it
When my vision ain't as polished, if I got you then I got it
Until then I'll be mobbin'
Making music steady rockin'
Hope you roll through
Searching far and wide till the day that I find you

[Pre-Chorus: John Mayer]
It doesn't matter where you roam
When no one's left to call you home
I might have strayed a bit too far
I'm counting all the moonlit stars

[Chorus: John Mayer]
I'm a little lost at sea
I'm a little birdie in a big old tree
Ain't nobody looking for me
Here out on the highway
I'm a little lost at sea
I'm a little birdie in a big old tree
Ain't nobody looking for me
Here out on the highway
But I will be found
I will be found
When my time comes down
I will be found

[Verse 2: Abstract]
'Cause I put up walls, hope I let 'em down for you
I know I've lost a couple, they'd be quick to say it's true
Can't stand still, I always gotta make the move
'Cause my ambition is a blessing and a curse in what I do
But spendin' nights at home alone, I tend to think of you
All I got is my fam, a couple friends, and all my views
Shout out to my fans and everything they helped me through
Sayin' that that's all I have is selfish, hope that you excuse
But I can't lie, I really want back that real love
When life gets cold, I need that real touch
Connection is a real rush
I fiend for something more than lust
Fiend for something more than trust
More than buzz, more than drugs
'Cause there's no better drug than another one to share your life with
Made sacrifices that I seem to fight with
I hit the highway, searching for God knows what
Hope that all that is to be, I didn't make what was

[Pre-Chorus: John Mayer]
It doesn't matter where you roam
When no one's left to call you home
I might have strayed a bit too far
I'm counting all the moonlit stars

[Chorus: John Mayer]
I'm a little lost at sea
I'm a little birdie in a big old tree
Ain't nobody looking for me
Here out on the highway
I'm a little lost at sea
I'm a little birdie in a big old tree
Ain't nobody looking for me
Here out on the highway
But I will be found
I will be found
When my time comes down
I will be found

[Outro: John Mayer]
So I keep running till my run is gone
Keep on riding till I see that dawn
I will be found
I will be found

Abstract

Growing up in New Jersey, Luke Terkovich, otherwise known as Abstract, was involved with music at an early age. Learning how to play piano, electric guitar, and the drums were Luke’s first involvement with music — and he did it all before 6th grade. With a move across country from New Jersey to Jackson, Wyoming, the distance between learning and playing new instruments got larger. It wasn’t until several years later that Luke began to mess around with freestyling during his high school years spent at Jackson Hole High. Evolving his newly found musical expression into Raised in Jackson, WY, Abstract is known for his immense musical versatility and affinity for providing uplifting music for a turbulent world. With a knack for storytelling, he provides introspective motivation to all who take the time to dive into his work. Notably known for his remix of Ruth Bs Lost Boy “Neverland” which has garnered hundreds of millions of plays on YouTube, his work with Drumma Battalion and Roze, and his 2016 album Something to Write Home About. He heads a collective known as “A Team Worldwide” 5 musicians from 4 different countries. Producers Drumma Battalion of Norway, Blulake of Sweden, Cryo Music of Scotland, and Abstract. Coming off his first overseas tour with YONAS, the ATWW collective is gearing up to drop Abstracts new album/experience late summer 2018.writing detailed lyrics, he began to find that he could vent the stresses of his everyday life through creating music. Slowly progressing through the years of his new town where he calls home; balancing school, life, and music developed Luke to become Abstract.

Trying to find his sound was a young teenager who just looked to get something written down and then translated into music, and eventually rap. Still in his caterpillar stage of metamorphosis was a young Abstract who released his first ever collection of songs, properly named The Dream.

In 2012, through YouTube, Abstract met Craig McAllister, a producer from Glasgow, Scotland. During that period, Abstract was in the midst of working on On My Own Time and was the first time Craig showed up with Abstract. Afterwards, the duo started to mesh extremely well and produced the five projects, Under Lights & Microscopes, A Life To Live By, Dreaming With Eyes Open, The Science Of Feeling Tall, and We Are The Artist.
