[Verse 1]
I heard they're takin' their shots
Sick with it like I did not
Soon as I run through the AUX
I put a body in shock
I see 'em throwin' their rocks
Funny, I'm catchin' the toss
I run it straight to the endzone, thank you for taking the loss (Yeah, yeah)
I know that they talk about me, sorry that your wit is lousy (Your wit is lousy)
Don't take a genius to know, I'm a threat and I know how it goes (I know how it goes)
I'm smellin' some insecurity, hatin' on people that you never met
Better be keeping that energy that you been sending me when you see me in the flesh (Flesh)
Industry look like a zoo, there's a whole lotta lyin' and too many snakes
Too many flashin' designer and all of this money that nobody makes
Sorry I don't do the parties when I'm in LA, I'm just there to create
It tends to get pretty lonely when you're in a room full of so many fakes

[Chorus]
Told you I came from the west (Yeah, yeah)
Told you I'm cold as it gets (Brrr)
Still got a soul, still in control
Look at the gold in my chest (Yeah)
They turned me into an animal
I had to gamble the karats that made up my heart
I put it all on the table, the option was fatal if I didn't live for my art
Feel like I'm having a holiday
I'm feelin' like I'm Doc Holliday
They tryna get me to shoot out (Aw)
I turn around, blow 'em all away
They know I'm quick on the draw (Yeah)
Quick to be droppin' a jaw (Yeah, yeah)
It's wild the way that they test
It's the wild west and I'm living like an outlaw

[Verse 2]
Stickin' to script, I keep the hits at my hip
Draw with a flick of my wrist
I got a couple of sons, I knew 'em once
Without me, they wouldn't exist
I knew 'em back in the cradle, so ain't it my job to put them in the grave? (Grave)
Sorry, you know that I love you but I got a mission and nobody's safe (Nobody's safe)
High noon
No one move 'til I do
You talk down, I find you
Best you dip like fondue
You soundin' cheesy already, I know how they levy emotion for plays
Label just told you depression the best kind of message if you wanna really get paid
Some of us really do struggle
But you made a hustle off actin' a way
I hope it eats you alive
I hope it keeps you awake
So sorry I don't do the parties when I'm in LA, I'm just there to create
It tends to get pretty lonely when you're in a room full of so many fakes

[Chorus]
Told you I came from the west (Yeah, yeah)
Told you I'm cold as it gets (Brrr)
Still got a soul, still in control
Look at the gold in my chest (Yeah)
They turned me into an animal
I had to gamble the karats that made up my heart
I put it all on the table, the option was fatal if I didn't live for my art
Feel like I'm having a holiday
I'm feelin' like I'm Doc Holliday
They tryna get me to shoot out (Aw)
I turn around, blow 'em all away
They know I'm quick on the draw (Yeah)
Quick to be droppin' a jaw (Yeah, yeah)
It's wild the way that they test
It's the wild west and I'm living like an outlaw

Abstract

Growing up in New Jersey, Luke Terkovich, otherwise known as Abstract, was involved with music at an early age. Learning how to play piano, electric guitar, and the drums were Luke’s first involvement with music — and he did it all before 6th grade. With a move across country from New Jersey to Jackson, Wyoming, the distance between learning and playing new instruments got larger. It wasn’t until several years later that Luke began to mess around with freestyling during his high school years spent at Jackson Hole High. Evolving his newly found musical expression into Raised in Jackson, WY, Abstract is known for his immense musical versatility and affinity for providing uplifting music for a turbulent world. With a knack for storytelling, he provides introspective motivation to all who take the time to dive into his work. Notably known for his remix of Ruth Bs Lost Boy “Neverland” which has garnered hundreds of millions of plays on YouTube, his work with Drumma Battalion and Roze, and his 2016 album Something to Write Home About. He heads a collective known as “A Team Worldwide” 5 musicians from 4 different countries. Producers Drumma Battalion of Norway, Blulake of Sweden, Cryo Music of Scotland, and Abstract. Coming off his first overseas tour with YONAS, the ATWW collective is gearing up to drop Abstracts new album/experience late summer 2018.writing detailed lyrics, he began to find that he could vent the stresses of his everyday life through creating music. Slowly progressing through the years of his new town where he calls home; balancing school, life, and music developed Luke to become Abstract.

Trying to find his sound was a young teenager who just looked to get something written down and then translated into music, and eventually rap. Still in his caterpillar stage of metamorphosis was a young Abstract who released his first ever collection of songs, properly named The Dream.

In 2012, through YouTube, Abstract met Craig McAllister, a producer from Glasgow, Scotland. During that period, Abstract was in the midst of working on On My Own Time and was the first time Craig showed up with Abstract. Afterwards, the duo started to mesh extremely well and produced the five projects, Under Lights & Microscopes, A Life To Live By, Dreaming With Eyes Open, The Science Of Feeling Tall, and We Are The Artist.
