[Verse 1]
Yo, yo somebody roll one up
Lookin' to get lifted, man, you got the purpose stuff?
Journey through my mind where time doesn't matter
If I ain't in Wonderland, I'm madder than the Mad Hatter
Climbin' up the ladder so life keep me at a decent height
But I'm feelin' stressed out, good thing that I got a light
Yeah, good thing that I got a life
Where I'm workin' for my passion, doin' it right
Yeah, 'cause most kids say the same
Workin' in their 9 to 5s 'cause they gave up on the game
They weren't one of the lames, but they gave in from the hate
Found my one lane next to the left side of the interstate
Used to sound on the ground, found a way to integrate
Now when little rappers hear the flow, who they imitate?
And it's such a crazy feeling; I love the way the smoke move when the crew's chillin'
Lookin' to get high enough to see past the ceilin'
'Cause chillin' with stars, to me, is just too appealin'
These little bitches said, "Change," don't know what they deal is
Told them never had one, who the hell are they kiddin'?
I'm gettin' plays now; that's just what progression is
Come and take a puff of this if you really stressin' shit
So feel this, been thinkin' 'bout what "real" is
Nah, I don't give a damn; I'ma shut up and hit this

[Chorus]
Baby went to Amsterdam
She put a little money into travelling
Now it's so slow, so slow (so slow)
Baby went to Amsterdam
She put a little money into travelling
Now it's so slow, so slow (so slow)

[Verse 2]
Hands stuck to the old E 'cause [?] O.G
Steady sippin', watch some fans just trippin' on the old me
Still I'm just the same kid, dreams are tryna make ya big
But never get it twisted, somethin' like holdin' two splits
Double-jointed, but since I got 'em I'll enjoy it
Lookin' to be my own boss, no need for employment
Some dogs is chained to cubicles, what I'll call an "employed bitch"
I gotta do my own thing, what I'm callin' "employed rich"
Yeah, 'cause that's the only goal
Pack a blunt and a ladder 'cause I heard the world's cold
Now I'm sittin' in the studio with a couple roll
'Cause they say life's what happens when you're busy makin' other plans
I plan on makin' music all my life, so I don't understand
Maybe I'm a little dumb, but I think I can prove 'em wrong
Or maybe that's exactly what's happening like all along
And I didn't even see it
They all wanted hurt believin' all that "yo, she needed me" shit
Put it on the mic to fight to try to make her see it
Gainin' all these haters, givin' 'em reasons to eat shit
Evolvin' from a heartbroken idiot to becomin' this
Yeah, maybe that was it
Or I'm trippin', yeah, I'm trippin'
Too much thinkin' from this weed shit
Got my steady flippin' light went up 'cause I don't need this
'Cause you know what to say when the bomb rips, clear that shit

[Chorus]
Baby went to Amsterdam
She put a little money into travelling
Now it's so slow, so slow (so slow)
Baby went to Amsterdam
She put a little money into travelling
Now it's so slow, so slow (so slow)

Abstract

Growing up in New Jersey, Luke Terkovich, otherwise known as Abstract, was involved with music at an early age. Learning how to play piano, electric guitar, and the drums were Luke’s first involvement with music — and he did it all before 6th grade. With a move across country from New Jersey to Jackson, Wyoming, the distance between learning and playing new instruments got larger. It wasn’t until several years later that Luke began to mess around with freestyling during his high school years spent at Jackson Hole High. Evolving his newly found musical expression into Raised in Jackson, WY, Abstract is known for his immense musical versatility and affinity for providing uplifting music for a turbulent world. With a knack for storytelling, he provides introspective motivation to all who take the time to dive into his work. Notably known for his remix of Ruth Bs Lost Boy “Neverland” which has garnered hundreds of millions of plays on YouTube, his work with Drumma Battalion and Roze, and his 2016 album Something to Write Home About. He heads a collective known as “A Team Worldwide” 5 musicians from 4 different countries. Producers Drumma Battalion of Norway, Blulake of Sweden, Cryo Music of Scotland, and Abstract. Coming off his first overseas tour with YONAS, the ATWW collective is gearing up to drop Abstracts new album/experience late summer 2018.writing detailed lyrics, he began to find that he could vent the stresses of his everyday life through creating music. Slowly progressing through the years of his new town where he calls home; balancing school, life, and music developed Luke to become Abstract.

Trying to find his sound was a young teenager who just looked to get something written down and then translated into music, and eventually rap. Still in his caterpillar stage of metamorphosis was a young Abstract who released his first ever collection of songs, properly named The Dream.

In 2012, through YouTube, Abstract met Craig McAllister, a producer from Glasgow, Scotland. During that period, Abstract was in the midst of working on On My Own Time and was the first time Craig showed up with Abstract. Afterwards, the duo started to mesh extremely well and produced the five projects, Under Lights & Microscopes, A Life To Live By, Dreaming With Eyes Open, The Science Of Feeling Tall, and We Are The Artist.
