[Verse 1]
Got these new J's on
Pumpin' on this marijua'
Wouldn't bust 'em out the box unless the kid 'bout to be on
Hoodie all black, box logo to the back
'Bout to hit the damn stage, show the whole world where it's at
Cell phone ringin', man, you know who it is—shit
Probably my girl back all up in my business
She like, "Where you at?"
I'm like, "You know, 'bout to rock a show"
She said, "I'm just makin' sure you ain't fuckin' with them hoes"
Hung up on her, like, "Damn"
Why she forgettin' who I am?
Spend my free time in my studio, the rest rollin' up grams
On the subject of them hoes, time don't give me a chance, ah!
Ha, don't give me a chance
Your trippin' really takin' tolls on what we call romance
Actin' crazy, don't make me pull a "let's just be some friends"
You know I don't like sendin' no hearts home inside a ambulance

[Chorus]
I just want the lights (yeah)
You just wanna fight (yeah)
We gon' be alright
But for now I'm gettin' faded (yeah, for now, for now)
For now I'm gettin' faded (for now, for now, I'm)
Tryna take a trip (yeah)
You just wanna trip (yeah)
I ain't with this shit
So for now I'm gettin' faded (yeah, for now, for now)
For now I'm gettin' faded (for now, for now, I'm)

[Verse 2]
Hatin' on it till you wanted somethin'—my man
See you escalatin' your false assumptions? God damn
They say, "Man, how you doin'?"
"Famous yet or on tour?"
I says, "Ain't you baggin' produce?"
"Call me when you own a store"
I mean, like, shut your mouth, like right now
I do this 'cause I love it, heals me and it help the public
Heal me back when I was lovesick
We built the shoe that fits
Built addicts outta 21st Century gigs
Whether they sit, run, walk, plug, did it, or shit
Wanna be that number one supplier
That's why I gotta spit that fire
Ain't tryna pop outta college askin' who the hell gona hire

[Bridge]
But you can take that road
On it, you will not be alone
So march forward like clones
Go ahead and throw your stones
But I wouldn't know, the other leads me home

[Chorus]
I just want the lights (yeah)
You just wanna fight (yeah)
We gon' be alright
But for now I'm gettin' faded
For now I'm gettin' faded
Tryna take a trip (yeah)
You just wanna trip (yeah)
I ain't with this shit
So for now I'm gettin' faded
For now I'm gettin' faded
I just want the lights (yeah)
You just wanna fight (yeah)
We gon' be alright
But for now I'm gettin' faded
For now I'm gettin' faded
Tryna take a trip (yeah)
You just wanna trip (yeah)
I ain't with this shit
So for now I'm gettin' faded
For now I'm gettin' faded

Abstract

Growing up in New Jersey, Luke Terkovich, otherwise known as Abstract, was involved with music at an early age. Learning how to play piano, electric guitar, and the drums were Luke’s first involvement with music — and he did it all before 6th grade. With a move across country from New Jersey to Jackson, Wyoming, the distance between learning and playing new instruments got larger. It wasn’t until several years later that Luke began to mess around with freestyling during his high school years spent at Jackson Hole High. Evolving his newly found musical expression into Raised in Jackson, WY, Abstract is known for his immense musical versatility and affinity for providing uplifting music for a turbulent world. With a knack for storytelling, he provides introspective motivation to all who take the time to dive into his work. Notably known for his remix of Ruth Bs Lost Boy “Neverland” which has garnered hundreds of millions of plays on YouTube, his work with Drumma Battalion and Roze, and his 2016 album Something to Write Home About. He heads a collective known as “A Team Worldwide” 5 musicians from 4 different countries. Producers Drumma Battalion of Norway, Blulake of Sweden, Cryo Music of Scotland, and Abstract. Coming off his first overseas tour with YONAS, the ATWW collective is gearing up to drop Abstracts new album/experience late summer 2018.writing detailed lyrics, he began to find that he could vent the stresses of his everyday life through creating music. Slowly progressing through the years of his new town where he calls home; balancing school, life, and music developed Luke to become Abstract.

Trying to find his sound was a young teenager who just looked to get something written down and then translated into music, and eventually rap. Still in his caterpillar stage of metamorphosis was a young Abstract who released his first ever collection of songs, properly named The Dream.

In 2012, through YouTube, Abstract met Craig McAllister, a producer from Glasgow, Scotland. During that period, Abstract was in the midst of working on On My Own Time and was the first time Craig showed up with Abstract. Afterwards, the duo started to mesh extremely well and produced the five projects, Under Lights & Microscopes, A Life To Live By, Dreaming With Eyes Open, The Science Of Feeling Tall, and We Are The Artist.
