[Intro: Abstract]
Alright
You know
Out this world like Pluto

[Verse 1: Abstract]
Flow go magnificent, light a spit, then we kickin' it
When we make the earth quake, talkin' off, direct this shit
Throw a tsunami, say it's not me, but yo, we triggered it
I hear some people hatin', it's funny 'cause they still listenin'
Hear these rappers still get a knack, and it's glistenin'
But if you ain't really spittin', no difference, ain't insterested
Y'all just flauntin' all this money you don't have
Because you talk about you only want those bad
But you talk about the shit like it's the shit you have? Please
Real rapper in the buildin'
The kind to go and tell you on the daily how we feelin'
Every damn day feel I'm one of the couple trillion
Yeah, that's for better or worse
Findin' out that life is both a gift and a curse
Die from bein' nothin or you die from the work
Like would Jesus be if he believed in me instead of the church
And if Mr. King did it, well, the world have heard those words
The question that I'm stressin' is the predetermined destiny
And if there is, then I'm wonderin' what is meant for me
And if there is, then I'm wonderin' what is meant for me

[Chorus: Abstract]
Wonderin' why the hell I'm here
These voices in my ear
Tellin' me I'm meant to be somebody
All I've ever wanted, so it sounds so lovely
Wonderin' where the hell we can go
Is there anyone who knows?
Tell me, 'cause I think I'm meant to be somebody
All I've ever wanted, wouldn't it be lovely?

[Verse 2: Abstract]
You know the low now, how this shit gon' go down
Frontin' on the cop back in low rounds, you know now
Second 'round the sign, sound I'm close to the kick
Shinin' on these kids but I ain't close to the bling
In the presence of peasants; what, am I meant for a king?
And we weren't born with a voice, that's why we learn how to sing
'Cause knowledge is power destined for all that it brings
Ain't gettin' paid by the hour, nah, I ain't meant for those things
Yeah, I know I cheated death a couple times
So I gotta think that there's a bigger reason I survived
Know that there's a couple things to see before the other side
Realize in the path I take is somethin' only I decide
So let me follow in these dreams and where it takes me
And if life is but a dream, I'm hopin' you don't wake me
Makin' sure that history never gon' erase me
So tell me now: am I genius or crazy?

[Chorus: Abstract & Mike Hype]
Wonderin' why the hell I'm here
These voices in my ear
Tellin' me I'm meant to be somebody
All I've ever wanted, so it sounds so lovely
Wonderin' where the hell we can go
Is there anyone who knows? (Mike Hype)
Tell me, 'cause I think I'm meant to be somebody (uh, yeah)
All I've ever wanted, wouldn't it be lovely? (uh)

[Verse 3: Mike Hype]
He go one, two, three, I think I got it
The flow is simply hypnotic, my mind is stuck in the tropics
Flow a hundred degrees, they call me the city's hottest
Got all of these haters talkin', like, yes, I'm the trendy topic
One day I'll be right there on the TV, dude
Charlie Sheen, I'm winnin', I swear, I never lose
Late night, sit and wonder like Stevie do
Wrote this blindfolded and y'all still couldn't see me, fool
Uh, R-I-P to my opposition
Promise my momma I'd get it to kill my competition
Makin' noise in the game like paws in the kitchen (no)
Now all these fake rappers vanish, I'm the rap magician
Made it in the game, I don't need no luck
Had a weak first quarter but now I'm in the clutch
Haters gonna hate, and I don't care, I'm gettin' cheese
Number walky, I was bear with the bunch, chump

[Outro: Abstract]
Wonderin' why the hell I'm here
These voices in my ear
Tellin' me I'm meant to be somebody
All I've ever wanted, so it sounds so lovely

Abstract

Growing up in New Jersey, Luke Terkovich, otherwise known as Abstract, was involved with music at an early age. Learning how to play piano, electric guitar, and the drums were Luke’s first involvement with music — and he did it all before 6th grade. With a move across country from New Jersey to Jackson, Wyoming, the distance between learning and playing new instruments got larger. It wasn’t until several years later that Luke began to mess around with freestyling during his high school years spent at Jackson Hole High. Evolving his newly found musical expression into Raised in Jackson, WY, Abstract is known for his immense musical versatility and affinity for providing uplifting music for a turbulent world. With a knack for storytelling, he provides introspective motivation to all who take the time to dive into his work. Notably known for his remix of Ruth Bs Lost Boy “Neverland” which has garnered hundreds of millions of plays on YouTube, his work with Drumma Battalion and Roze, and his 2016 album Something to Write Home About. He heads a collective known as “A Team Worldwide” 5 musicians from 4 different countries. Producers Drumma Battalion of Norway, Blulake of Sweden, Cryo Music of Scotland, and Abstract. Coming off his first overseas tour with YONAS, the ATWW collective is gearing up to drop Abstracts new album/experience late summer 2018.writing detailed lyrics, he began to find that he could vent the stresses of his everyday life through creating music. Slowly progressing through the years of his new town where he calls home; balancing school, life, and music developed Luke to become Abstract.

Trying to find his sound was a young teenager who just looked to get something written down and then translated into music, and eventually rap. Still in his caterpillar stage of metamorphosis was a young Abstract who released his first ever collection of songs, properly named The Dream.

In 2012, through YouTube, Abstract met Craig McAllister, a producer from Glasgow, Scotland. During that period, Abstract was in the midst of working on On My Own Time and was the first time Craig showed up with Abstract. Afterwards, the duo started to mesh extremely well and produced the five projects, Under Lights & Microscopes, A Life To Live By, Dreaming With Eyes Open, The Science Of Feeling Tall, and We Are The Artist.
